In Streamlabs Talk Studio, open Share > Background Audio, then select audio files from your computer. One track loops automatically; to repeat several tracks, select them together to create a queue and choose Repeat. This repeats Talk Studio’s local background audio while you stream to YouTube—it does not loop a YouTube-hosted playlist inside Talk Studio.
Loop one track or repeat a multi-track queue
- In the Talk Studio editor, click Share, then Background Audio. Accept the usage prompt if it appears.
- In the file picker, select one audio file, or select multiple files together to create a queue. Click Open. Streamlabs’ screen-sharing guide lists MP3 and WAV as accepted formats: Talk Studio Screen Sharing.
- The audio player appears on the left side of the studio. A single selected track loops automatically.
- For multiple tracks, open the queue controls and choose Repeat. Choose Shuffle instead if you want the queue played in a shuffled order.
Important: this is local background audio, not a YouTube playlist
Talk Studio can stream to YouTube, but the documented repeat controls apply to audio files selected from your computer. They do not establish a way to loop a playlist hosted on YouTube within Talk Studio. If you mean a YouTube-hosted playlist, these instructions do not provide a method for repeating it through Talk Studio.
Fix common selection problems
- A new track replaced the existing one: select all the tracks you want together in the file picker. Streamlabs says selecting a different track later replaces the current selection rather than adding it to the queue.
- You cannot find the repeat control: confirm that you selected multiple files together and open the queue controls. A single track loops automatically, so it does not require a separate repeat setting.
- A file will not load: check whether it is an MP3 or WAV, the formats named in Streamlabs’ screen-sharing guide. The cited guide does not establish support for other formats.
Check music rights before going live
Use music you own or tracks licensed for your intended use. Streamlabs cautions that platforms such as YouTube may enforce copyright rules; being able to play a locally stored file in Talk Studio does not mean you have permission to stream it.
