To keep Sanskrit mantra recordings playing in sequence, create a YouTube playlist, add and arrange the videos, start the playlist, then turn on playlist Loop. This repeats the playlist rather than only the current video. The steps below cover computer, mobile, TV and console playback—and explain what changes if by “stream” you mean a creator’s continuous live broadcast.
Make and arrange your mantra playlist
- Open a mantra video you want to include. Select More, then Save, and choose the option to create a new playlist.
- Give the playlist a recognizable name and choose its visibility. A private playlist is visible only to its owner.
- For each additional recording, select Save and choose the playlist you created.
- Open the playlist and arrange the recordings in your preferred order. On desktop, drag videos into place; YouTube also documents reorder controls in its mobile playlist help.
Choose recordings that are available to play on your device and account. If a video later becomes unavailable, remove it or replace it so playback can proceed through the playlist as intended.
Turn on repeat for the whole playlist
Computer or mobile
- Start playing the playlist.
- Use the playlist control box below the video and turn on Loop.
- Check the repeat indicator. Playlist Loop repeats the full playlist; toggling Loop again so that a “1” appears repeats only the current video.
TV or gaming console
- Open and start the playlist.
- Select Repeat until the control indicates Repeat • Playlist.
YouTube describes the playlist-loop result as: “The playlist will repeat continuously.” The single-video repeat setting is a different state, so check which indicator is active when the behavior is not what you expect.
If playback stops or skips
- It repeats one recording instead of the full list: Check whether the repeat control shows “1.” Toggle Loop so the playlist, rather than the individual video, is selected.
- The next recording does not play: Check whether that video is still available and remains in the playlist. Replace or remove unavailable entries.
- The playlist stops unexpectedly: Check that the device still shows playlist repeat as active. YouTube’s help describes how to enable repeat, but does not establish a guaranteed uninterrupted-playback service level; do not assume the playlist can never be interrupted.
Playlist playback is not a live broadcast
Looping a playlist is for listening to YouTube videos on a playback device. A creator who wants a continuous live broadcast is doing something different: YouTube lists mobile, webcam, encoder and console as live-streaming methods. Its current help guidance says a channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; additional requirements can apply to mobile live streaming.

Rights matter for live mantra music
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If such content remains, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it or terminate it. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: for licensed music, ask the rights holder to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. An archived stream may also receive a Content ID claim after it ends.
For music you upload, YouTube describes safe music as public-domain material or music used with the copyright owner’s permission. It recommends the YouTube Audio Library and also identifies original music, Creator Music in certain regions, and properly licensed third-party sources. A “free” label in a video description is not proof that you have permission or that Content ID will not act. You cannot infer the rights status of a particular Sanskrit mantra recording just because it is available on YouTube.
