Bally Sports is now FanDuel Sports Network. To stream games formerly shown on Bally Sports, check your home ZIP code and team first, then choose a direct subscription, sign in through an eligible TV provider, or use a distributor such as Prime Video where the local channel is offered. None of these options guarantees every game: regional rights, national exclusives and blackouts still apply.
What happened to Bally Sports?
The former Bally Sports regional networks were rebranded as FanDuel Sports Network. The former Bally Sports app was expected to migrate to the FanDuel Sports Network app; if it still appears under the old name or does not work, update it or install the current app from your device’s app store. FanDuel’s FAQ says existing Bally Sports credentials may continue to work.
A FanDuel Sports Network streaming account is separate from a FanDuel sportsbook or fantasy account. Searches for “Bally Sports+” may surface old instructions and pricing, so use the current service’s package page rather than assuming those details still apply.
Start by checking your team and ZIP code
Before paying, enter your home ZIP code at the FanDuel Sports Network packages page. The available package and content depend on your location and current rights. FanDuel also points viewers to Get My Home Teams to look up local teams and provider availability.

- Confirm that the team and regional network you want are listed.
- Check whether the game you want is carried regionally or has a national or other exclusive broadcaster.
- Compare the direct offer with the cost of a TV package or distributor add-on before subscribing.
FanDuel lists selected NBA and NHL teams and other programming, but that list is not a promise that every former Bally Sports team remains on the service. Rights can change by team and season; use the current team list alongside the ZIP-code check.
Way 1: Subscribe directly to FanDuel Sports Network
A direct subscription is the most straightforward place to start if you want an eligible local team without a broader live-TV bundle. The plan page may offer monthly, season-pass or single-game options depending on ZIP code and sport. Some single-game tokens are for eligible NBA or NHL games. Offers and prices are dynamic, so check the current package page rather than relying on an old Bally Sports+ price.
- Open FanDuel Sports Network packages and enter your home ZIP code.
- Review the teams, networks and available subscription options shown for that ZIP code.
- Select the plan that fits your viewing, then create or sign in to a FanDuel Sports Network account.
- Install the FanDuel Sports Network app on a supported device, or use a modern web browser.
- Sign in and select the relevant team or network.
FanDuel describes the available purchase options and says billing or location information can be used to determine the home territory. The first stream may need to take place in the home ZIP-code area. Direct access is therefore a poor fit for an out-of-market fan whose team is not offered locally.

Way 2: Sign in through your TV provider
If you already pay for cable, satellite or a live-TV streaming service, you may be able to use its credentials in the FanDuel Sports Network app instead of buying a separate direct subscription. The provider must carry the relevant local channel, and your account must be eligible in that market. App authentication does not add a channel that is absent from your provider’s lineup or remove regional restrictions.
- Open the FanDuel Sports Network app on a supported device, or visit its website.
- Sign in or create a FanDuel Sports Network account, then select Connect TV Provider.
- On another device, go to fanduelsportsnetwork.com/activate.
- Enter the activation code displayed on your TV.
- Select your provider and sign in with that provider’s username and password.
- Return to the app and check whether the local network or team is available.
Follow FanDuel’s provider activation instructions if the screens differ. The FanDuel app login and your TV-provider login serve different purposes: the first identifies your streaming account; the second verifies your eligible TV package.
Way 3: Use a supported distributor or live-TV service
Some viewers can access a local FanDuel Sports Network through a distributor rather than subscribing directly or authenticating an existing TV package. Availability is market-specific; check the provider’s lineup using your ZIP code and confirm the exact channel and total price before signing up.

- Prime Video: FanDuel announced an agreement to offer local regional networks as Prime Video add-ons in designated areas, with live games and related programming. That announcement does not establish availability in every market today. Look for the local network in the Prime Video store before subscribing. See the distribution announcement for the scope described when the agreement was announced.
- DIRECTV: DIRECTV lists FanDuel Sports Network options and directs customers to check regional availability. Its lineup and plan eligibility depend on ZIP code. Check DIRECTV’s FanDuel Sports Network page and its sports lineup.
- Fubo: Fubo lists selected FanDuel Sports Network channels in its regional-channel information, not every network in every market. Use its regional sports channel list and ZIP-code signup flow to verify your team.
A live-TV bundle can make sense if you want other sports and general channels too; it may be an expensive way to get just one regional team. Compare the required base plan and add-ons, not just the name of the service.

To compare the real cost, include the provider’s required base package, sports add-ons and any membership required by the distributor. Check promotional terms, auto-renewal and cancellation rules as well as device support and travel restrictions.

FanDuel Sports Network lists modern web browsers, iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, Apple TV, Android TV and Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Roku, select Samsung smart TVs, Vizio and onn smart TVs, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and Xumo Stream Box. Not every model is necessarily supported. The listed minimum operating-system versions include iOS 16, Android 7, tvOS 16, Roku OS 12, Fire TV OS 5 and Android TV OS 5. Blackouts, missing games and travel
A regional subscription is not a guarantee of every game. Nationally exclusive broadcasts may be shown elsewhere, local rights can move to a different broadcaster, and home-territory rules can limit access. An RSN may carry a team’s local channel while a particular game is unavailable through it. Out-of-market viewers generally need to investigate a league-specific or team-specific service, subject to that service’s own blackout rules. FanDuel explains territory-based access in its pages on how to access the network and where to purchase or restore a subscription.
Travel can affect what you can stream because the service uses home-territory rules. Do not treat a location-masking tool as a dependable fix: location checks may fail, and bypassing restrictions may conflict with service terms.
Troubleshooting common problems
The app still shows Bally Sports
Update the installed app first. If it does not migrate, search the device’s app store for FanDuel Sports Network and install that app; removing and reinstalling the old app may help. The web player can be a temporary alternative. FanDuel discusses the app transition in its FAQ.

You paid but cannot see the team
Check that you entered the correct home ZIP code, bought the package shown for that location and are within the permitted territory. Then check whether rights have changed or the game is nationally exclusive. If you used provider authentication, confirm that your exact provider package carries the local channel.
Provider activation does not work
- Confirm that the provider is listed as an eligible authentication partner and carries the channel in your area.
- Request a fresh activation code if the displayed one has expired.
- Choose the correct provider brand and verify the credentials on the provider’s own site.
- Update the FanDuel Sports Network app and try the activation steps again.
Your subscription is not recognized
If you purchased through the app or website but access is missing, sign in at FanDuelSportsNetwork.com, open Settings → Subscriptions, choose Restore Purchase and follow the prompts. FanDuel provides the steps on its purchase and restore page.
A game is missing from the schedule
Check the game’s broadcaster before assuming the app is broken. It may be nationally exclusive, carried over the air locally, available through a league or team service, or affected by a rights change for that season. FanDuel’s page on what you can watch explains the service’s programming categories.
