To get sponsorships as a streamer, make your channel easy for brands to assess, look for campaigns through more than one route, and pitch a specific partnership that fits your audience. On Twitch, complete your Creator Profile and check the Sponsorships area of the Creator Dashboard; eligible Affiliates can access select campaigns if they meet brand criteria and complete Twitch’s required steps. Neither a profile nor a platform status guarantees an offer.
How do I get sponsors as a streamer?
Build a clear picture of your channel and audience, find brands whose products genuinely fit, then propose a concrete campaign. Brands need to understand what you make, whom it reaches, and what you can deliver. Treat sponsorships as a business relationship: check the scope, timing, payment, and rights before agreeing, and disclose the relationship to viewers.
Make your channel easy to evaluate
On Twitch, Creator Profiles let creators share channel information, interests, profile images, and audience demographic data with brands. Twitch says a completed profile can improve the chance of receiving opportunities; it does not promise selection. If you have relevant sponsored-content examples, Twitch’s 2026 update says you can feature and customize clips in Sponsorship Highlights to show your execution and tone.
Pitch a tailored idea
Contact brands that already serve your audience or connect naturally to your games and content. A concise pitch can include:
- Your channel’s niche and the content you make.
- Audience information and recent performance context you can substantiate.
- Why the brand is a credible fit for your viewers.
- A specific campaign idea, with proposed deliverables and timing.
- Relevant clips or examples that show how you present products or sponsored content.
This is a practical pitch outline, not a required Twitch form or a guaranteed formula. Do not invent audience numbers, promise outcomes you cannot support, or send the same generic pitch to every brand.

Where do Twitch streamers find brand deals?
Twitch’s sponsorship tools are one route, not the only one. Twitch describes them as complementary to other ways creators pursue sponsorships. Campaign availability depends on the creator, campaign, and brand criteria.
Use Twitch’s Sponsorships area
- Open the Twitch Creator Dashboard and go to Monetization > Sponsorships.
- Accept the portal terms and complete your Creator Profile.
- If you are an Affiliate, complete Creator Sponsorship Certification to qualify for sponsorship opportunities.
- Review campaigns and their requirements when they appear. Twitch says creators may receive notifications when an opportunity matches their profile, but invitations depend on brand criteria.
As announced by Twitch on August 20, 2026, Affiliates can access select sponsorship campaigns when they meet the brand’s criteria, after accepting portal terms and completing Creator Sponsorship Certification. This is Twitch-specific eligibility, not a general rule for other platforms, and campaign access or requirements may change.

Check other campaign routes
Twitch has named StreamElements campaigns surfaced through Twitch and third-party campaigns from Wehype as additional avenues. Its 2026 announcement identified Wehype, including an EA Battlefield example. These routes do not mean every creator will see or qualify for a campaign; check current availability and each campaign’s terms.

You can also approach suitable brands directly. A direct pitch is most credible when it connects a brand’s product to the people who watch your channel and proposes work you can realistically deliver.

Can small streamers get sponsors?
Potentially, but the available Twitch information does not establish a minimum audience size or a reliable sponsorship rate by channel size. Twitch says Affiliates may access select campaigns if they meet brand criteria; that is not a guarantee for every Affiliate or a promise that any particular audience size will qualify.
Make the case for fit and execution rather than claiming reach you cannot substantiate. A smaller channel may still present a well-defined audience, a relevant campaign concept, and clear examples of its content, but no pitch can guarantee a deal.

How many followers do you need to get sponsored?
There is no universal follower threshold established here. The reviewed Twitch information describes brand-specific campaign criteria, not a minimum follower count. Follower totals alone also do not explain whether an audience matches a product or whether a creator can meet the campaign’s requirements.

- Deliverables: What content must you make, where must it appear, and how many placements are required?
- Timeline: When is content due, when does it go live, and how long must it remain available?
- Compensation: Is payment cash, product, or both? Confirm the amount or value and exactly when and how payment is made.
- Usage rights: May the brand reuse your content, on which channels, and for how long?
- Exclusivity: Does the deal restrict work with competing brands? Identify the category and duration.
- Changes and cancellation: What happens if the campaign is revised, delayed, or canceled after you have started work?
- Audience fit and workload: Weigh whether the promotion makes sense for your viewers and whether the required work is proportionate to the compensation.
Compare offers on fit, workload, cash versus product compensation, campaign length, usage rights, exclusivity, and payment terms. No universal going rate follows from the platform information, so assess the actual terms rather than relying on an unsupported benchmark.
How do I disclose a sponsorship on stream?
Follow the platform’s branded-content rules and the disclosure laws or guidance that apply where you and your audience are located. Twitch’s Branded Content Guidelines define branded content as content featuring products or services in exchange for value, including money or goods or services. Twitch says creators making branded content must use its disclosure tool and ensure the promotion is permitted. Check Twitch’s current policy for edge cases and the exact tool requirements.
Make the relationship clear to viewers
In the United States, FTC staff guidance says a material connection—such as payment, free or discounted products, employment, or another benefit—should be disclosed clearly alongside the endorsement. Use plain language such as “ad” or “sponsored,” and repeat the disclosure periodically during a livestream so viewers who join late see it too. The FTC says creators remain responsible for disclosure; do not rely on a platform tool alone.

Be honest about your experience. Do not say you tried a product if you have not, make unsupported product claims, or present an opinion you do not hold. FTC guidance is U.S.-focused; creators and brands should check the rules that apply in other jurisdictions as well.
