What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
First find out where the mismatch begins: in the original file, after upload, during looping or streaming, or only in one player. If the audio and video tracks in the source file have different durations, correct the edit and export a new file before uploading it again. If the source is in sync, avoid changing it until you have checked the loop, stream health, and playback environment.
1. Find where the audio goes out of sync
“Cloud-hosted” does not identify a particular host, player, or streaming method, so there is no universal cloud setting to change. Compare the same video in the original file and in the cloud playback path, then note when the mismatch appears.
- Check the local source file. Play it from the beginning and at a later point. If it is already out of sync, start with the media file rather than the host.
- Compare the cloud version. If the local file is synchronized but the cloud version is not, inspect the upload/export, loop or stream setup, and player.
- Check whether the offset is steady or grows. Note the offset near the start and again later. This is a diagnostic comparison, not a guarantee of a particular cause: a changing mismatch warrants checking timing and playback behavior rather than treating it as a simple fixed offset.
- Try another player. If only one playback environment is wrong, investigate that player before editing a source file that plays correctly elsewhere.
2. If the source file is out of sync
Compare track durations
YouTube Help’s upload troubleshooting says, “Make sure the durations of your audio and video tracks are the same.” If they differ, correct the tracks in video editing software, export a new file, and upload that version. A mismatch already present in the file is best addressed at the editing stage; changing a cloud loop setting does not repair unequal track durations. See YouTube’s upload troubleshooting guidance.
Check export settings
YouTube recommends H.264 video, automatic data rate and key frames, and AAC-LC audio. Its preferred frame rates are 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, or 60 FPS; it also accepts less common rates such as 23.98, 29.97, and 59.94 FPS. The audio guidance lists 128–256 kbps and a 44,100 or 48,000 Hz sample rate. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that changing settings alone will correct every sync problem. Save a new export using the recommended settings and upload it for comparison.

3. If the mismatch appears during an OBS loop or stream
Verify the media source and loop setting
In OBS, inspect the source that is actually playing the video. A Media Source has a Loop option to restart a file after playback completes. If you use OBS VLC Video, check Loop Playlist, the selected audio track, and whether the intended file or playlist is loaded. OBS documents network caching at a default of 400 ms for VLC Video; treat that as a control to inspect, not a proven audio-sync fix. VLC must be installed for the VLC Video source to appear. The OBS Media Sources guide explains these controls, but looping does not validate that the file’s tracks are synchronized.
Distinguish stream or encoding trouble from a timing offset
OBS identifies rising dropped frames as a possible sign that the connection to the remote ingest server is unstable or cannot keep up with the configured bitrate; its connection troubleshooting includes lowering video bitrate as a diagnostic. OBS separately treats choppy or laggy output as a possible encoding-performance issue. Those symptoms merit checking connection and machine load, but neither by itself proves the cause of an audio offset. Follow the relevant OBS stream connection troubleshooting and OBS encoding performance troubleshooting guidance.

4. If only one player is out of sync
Test the same media in a second player before re-editing or re-uploading it. VLC documents playback synchronization adjustments; if the file plays correctly elsewhere, check the affected player’s sync controls and compare results. The VLC Desktop 3.0 adjustment and effects documentation describes its playback controls. If the source and other players agree but the cloud player does not, preserve that comparison when contacting the host; the right provider-specific steps depend on the host and playback path.
For technical playback diagnosis, ffplay’s documentation covers synchronization and video-frame dropping behavior. It does not establish a universal correction command for an unspecified cloud loop.

5. Choose the repair that matches the evidence
| What you observe | What to inspect first | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| The local source is already out of sync | Audio and video track durations | Correct the tracks in an editor, export again, and retest. |
| The local source is in sync, but the loop or stream is not | OBS source selection and loop behavior; dropped-frame or encoding symptoms | Check the appropriate media, connection, or encoding settings without assuming they caused the offset. |
| Only one playback environment is wrong | Another player and the affected player’s sync controls | Investigate the player or cloud playback path before altering a source that is otherwise synchronized. |
