Those checks help separate a device or Wi-Fi problem from a broader connection issue, but they do not by themselves prove JioFiber is at fault. The steps below focus on watching YouTube; if you are broadcasting a live stream, see the note on hosting near the end.
First identify what is disconnecting
Note whether you are watching a live stream or sending a broadcast to YouTube. Also check whether ordinary YouTube videos stop, whether other apps or websites are affected, and whether other devices lose connectivity at the same time. Record the device, app, approximate time, any error message, and whether playback resumes by itself. This information makes the comparisons and any later support request more useful.
There is no established single JioFiber-specific cause for YouTube live playback interruptions. YouTube says network congestion and other factors can affect live programming and delay a stream; that guidance does not identify a JioFiber fault.
Compare the connection and the device
- Try another device on JioFiber. Play the same video on another supported phone, computer, TV, or streaming device. If only one device fails, start with its YouTube app and software.
- Try another connection on the affected device. Replay the video using a mobile hotspot or another available internet connection. Mobile-data charges may apply. YouTube recommends changing the internet connection and replaying when troubleshooting playback.
- Check whether other services fail. If several apps or websites fail across multiple devices, investigate the home connection and run Jio’s diagnostics. If other sites work but only YouTube fails, the problem may be specific to that service, though the comparison alone cannot establish the cause.
Keep the results distinct: JioFiber versus another connection, one device versus another, and YouTube versus other services. Each comparison narrows where to look; none alone confirms an ISP-side fault.

Test Wi-Fi at the viewing location
A speed result beside the router may not represent the connection at a TV in another room. Check the signal and playback where the interruption happens. YouTube recommends a minimum connection speed of 7 Mbps for HD streaming on TV; this is a recommendation, not a guarantee of uninterrupted live playback.
- Move the TV or streaming device closer to the router, or reposition the router if practical.
- Pause heavy downloads, uploads, or streaming on other devices during a test.
- If your Wi-Fi exposes both bands, try 5 GHz near the router for speed or 2.4 GHz where greater coverage is needed. Jio’s user guide describes those respective trade-offs.
- Temporarily lower YouTube playback quality. If that helps, it points toward a capacity or signal issue, but does not prove one.
- If the device has an Ethernet port, test a direct wired connection. Jio recommends wired connections for streaming videos; Ethernet is a comparison, not a guaranteed fix. A Cat 6 Ethernet cable may be useful for this test if you need one and the device supports Ethernet.
Refresh YouTube and the viewing device
- Quit YouTube completely, reopen it, and play the video again.
- Restart the TV, streaming device, phone, or computer, then test playback.
- Check for available software updates for the device and YouTube app.
- On supported mobile-app platforms, follow YouTube Help’s steps to clear the app cache.
- For a Jio set-top box app problem, open the app settings and clear the affected app’s cache. Clearing its data may require you to sign in again.
Check the JioFiber connection and network equipment
- Open the MyJio app and go to Run Diagnostics for your JioFiber connection. The checks cover connection, router, Wi-Fi coverage, and device health; follow the repair or service-request steps shown for your result. Jio’s Run Diagnostics guide explains the process.
- Check that the gateway is online and its cables are secure.
- If you use an external router or network switch, temporarily bypass it and test through the normal JioFiber gateway setup. Restore your usual arrangement afterward if bypassing makes no difference.
- If a VPN is active, test playback briefly with it disconnected, then reconnect it if it is not the cause.
- Check whether the device has been blocked in your network settings.
These are controlled checks described in Jio’s JioFiber User Guide, not evidence that any one setting is responsible. Avoid changing DNS, IP, or IPv6 settings based on a guess.

When to contact Jio or YouTube
If interruptions continue across devices or services, or MyJio reports an outside-home or service fault, use JioCare or raise a service request through MyJio. Share the affected device and app, approximate failure times, exact error text, diagnostic result, and whether hotspot or Ethernet changes the outcome. This gives support a clearer picture than saying only that YouTube disconnects.
For a YouTube-specific playback problem, use YouTube’s Help and Feedback option after the issue occurs. Its troubleshooting guidance covers playback checks, including trying another connection and device.

If you mean a broadcast you are hosting
The steps above address watching YouTube. A hosted broadcast has a different failure path: the reviewed YouTube and Jio guidance does not establish encoder-specific settings or a JioFiber-specific cause. Note the encoder or app you use, the exact error, and whether upload connectivity fails; include those details when contacting the relevant service or Jio.
