Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →You can create a clear, watchable video with the phone you already own. Start with a simple plan, choose the right frame for where you’ll publish, find soft light, record understandable audio, and keep the phone steady. Extra gear is optional: add it only when it solves a specific problem.
Plan the video before you record
Choose one clear purpose
Write one sentence describing what viewers should learn, see, or feel. For a documentary-style explainer or tutorial, list the points or steps in order. For a short social video, sketch a quick opening, the main point, and a finish. A simple outline helps you avoid recording lots of footage without a clear story.
Make a short shot list
Note the shots you need, including framing, angle, and any movement. For example, a cooking demonstration might need an opening view of the finished dish, a medium shot of the presenter, and close-ups of key steps. Capture extra detail shots when they explain the subject or help cover an edit.
Choose orientation and location
Match the frame to the destination
Decide whether the video will be horizontal or vertical before filming. YouTube’s general mobile filming guidance recommends horizontal 16:9 for HD video, while its Shorts guidance advises vertical framing. Keep the subject and important action inside the frame, and remember that footage made for one shape may not crop cleanly into another. If you need both formats, plan separate shots or leave useful space around the subject.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)

Find a suitable place
Choose a location with usable light and little background noise. Check what appears behind the subject: remove distracting clutter and keep private information, such as an address, out of view. If other people or property you do not control are in the shot, consider privacy and permission before recording or publishing.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Set up the phone
- Clean the lens. A fingerprint can soften or haze the image.
- Silence interruptions. Turn off notifications or use a focus or do-not-disturb setting so calls and alerts do not disrupt a take.
- Choose a practical camera. The rear camera often records at higher resolution, according to YouTube’s mobile guidance. Use it when you can frame and monitor the shot comfortably; the front camera is useful when you need to see yourself.
- Start with automatic settings. The default camera mode is enough for most beginners. If the phone offers focus and exposure locking and the shot is fixed, locking them can prevent distracting changes during a take. The control and its tap sequence vary by phone and operating-system version.
- Check the background and frame. Make sure the subject is visible, the phone is not tilted unintentionally, and the microphone is not covered by a hand or case.
Use light that makes the subject easy to see
Soft, even light is usually more flattering and easier to expose than harsh light. Indoors, try facing the subject toward a window. Outdoors, open shade can reduce hard shadows. If a bright window or lamp sits directly behind a person, their face may become too dark; turn the subject toward the light or change the camera angle.
Improve the placement of available light before buying equipment. A small LED light is worth considering only if daylight and existing room lights cannot provide enough illumination.

Record clear audio
Viewers may forgive an imperfect image more readily than speech they cannot understand. The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources Communications Toolkit puts it plainly: “Poor audio is more distracting to viewers than poor video.”
Improve sound without buying a microphone
- Choose a quiet room and switch off fans or buzzing electronics where practical.
- Avoid hard, echoing spaces if you have another location available.
- Keep the speaker near the phone and make sure nothing blocks its microphone.
- Record a short test, then listen back through headphones or the phone speaker before filming the full take.
When an external mic helps
A compatible lavalier microphone can help when the speaker needs to stand away from the phone. A shotgun-style mic may suit some setups where sound comes from in front of the camera. These are optional tools, not prerequisites. Check the phone’s port and any adapter requirements before buying a microphone, then test the connection and playback; a connected accessory is not useful if the phone is still recording from its built-in mic.

Keep the shot steady and capture useful coverage
For a fixed shot
Set the phone at a useful height on a stable surface or use a tripod with a phone mount. A mount is especially helpful for hands-free demonstrations or self-recording; a stack of stable books or another secure surface can work without extra gear.
For handheld or moving shots
Hold the phone with two hands and move slowly and deliberately. A gimbal is a specialized mechanical stabilizer for smoother moving footage, but it is not necessary for a basic how-to video. If movement is not essential, a steady fixed shot is often simpler.

Choose gear for the constraint
| Situation | Start with | Consider adding |
|---|---|---|
| A simple clip or talking-head video | Phone, quiet location, available light, and a stable surface or careful two-handed hold | A tripod and phone mount if you need hands-free framing |
| Presenter must stand away from the phone | Move the phone closer if the framing allows | A compatible lavalier mic; check the phone connector or adapter first |
| Walking or moving footage | Deliberate movement and a secure two-handed hold | A gimbal if smoother moving shots are a recurring need |
| Dim setting | Improve the position of window or room light | A compact compatible LED light if existing light is still inadequate |
No single setup suits every video. A microphone, light, or stabilizer is useful when it addresses a real limitation in your location or filming style.
Edit and share the video
- Review your takes. Select the clips where the image and speech are usable.
- Trim starts, stops, and mistakes. Built-in phone editing tools may be enough for simple cuts.
- Put clips in a clear order. Keep the sequence easy to follow and include detail shots where they help explain the subject.
- Export for the destination. Use a format and aspect ratio that suit the platform and the orientation you planned.
- Watch the finished file once. Check that the picture is visible, speech is audible, and no private information or unwanted material slipped into the frame.
