You can keep a Hindi NCERT revision program available on YouTube by preparing a rights-cleared playlist, connecting an encoder or cloud playout service through YouTube Studio, and planning separately for interruptions and replay. Before you begin, check the license on every textbook page, diagram, video, or other resource you plan to show; “educational use” alone does not grant permission. Also decide how viewers will find recordings: YouTube’s encoder guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, but does not establish that a single stream longer than 12 hours will be archived.
Decide what “24/7” means for your revision channel
A stream can be continuously available without a teacher teaching live around the clock. Tell viewers clearly whether they are watching a live-hosted class, prerecorded lessons in a loop, or a mixture. If the program is prerecorded, say so in its title or description and do not promise live interaction.
Choose a format viewers can enter at any time
- Chapter-review loop: Play original Hindi explanations organized by class, subject, and chapter.
- Scheduled revision sessions: Run shorter programs with a defined subject or exam focus, then publish or verify each replay separately.
- Live teacher-led revision: Use an encoder with a live camera and audio setup, and arrange staffing and moderation for the hours you are actually live.
For a loop, use chapter cards and a persistent on-screen label such as “Class 10 · Science · Chapter 3 · Session 2.” Put the playlist order or schedule in Hindi in the description. These are practical navigation choices, not YouTube requirements.
Clear the rights to every item before you build the playlist
Start with original Hindi narration, self-created diagrams, and worked examples. If you want to include scans, textbook figures, answer keys, music, or another creator’s video, inspect the license for that specific item and obtain permission when the intended use is not covered. A PDF being publicly accessible, or a stream being educational, does not itself authorize rebroadcast.

Check NCERT and DIKSHA material item by item
CIET-NCERT’s DIKSHA page describes NCERT textbooks as CC BY-NC-ND and other DIKSHA resources as CC BY-NC-SA. Those category-level descriptions are not a substitute for checking the individual resource’s metadata and conditions. In particular, do not assume that a proposed adaptation or a monetized broadcast is permitted by a noncommercial or no-derivatives license; seek permission if the intended use falls outside the terms.
DIKSHA’s FAQ lists several license families, including CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC BY-NC, CC BY-ND variants, and YouTube License. The specific conditions differ, so the presence of a resource on DIKSHA—or the appearance of a license family in the FAQ—is not blanket authorization to stream it.
Keep a rights log and plan for Content ID
DIKSHA’s Terms of Use make contributors responsible for rights, authorship, year, attribution, and compliance with applicable license conditions. Keep a record for each third-party asset: its source, license or permission, required attribution, relevant restrictions, and who cleared it. YouTube Help, “Copyright issues with live streams” (accessed October 3, 2026), says live streams are scanned for third-party content. Even a licensed creator may need the rights holder to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist; a license does not guarantee that an automated match will not interrupt the broadcast.

Check channel eligibility and choose a delivery setup
Before producing a full playlist, verify the channel and confirm that it can start a live stream. YouTube Help’s “Get started with live streaming” page, accessed October 3, 2026, states that streamers must be at least 16 and that a channel must have no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube says first-time live activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before your planned launch.
Pick the workflow that matches the content
- Live teacher or camera production: Use a software, cloud, or hardware encoder suited to your inputs. An external microphone is optional; YouTube’s encoder guidance describes it as typical hardware, not a prerequisite. A suitable built-in microphone or already-recorded narration may be enough for your production.
- Prerecorded lessons in a continuous loop: Use an encoder that supports playlist looping and reconnecting, or a cloud playout service made for continuous streaming. Check its actual playlist, restart, file, monitoring, access-control, support, and pricing terms.
- Replay-first publishing: Schedule separate sessions and organize the resulting recordings in a playlist. This is often easier for chapter discovery and replay than relying on one very long broadcast.
YouTube’s verified encoder list includes software, cloud services, and hardware encoders. It is a directory, not an endorsement or a promise of provider reliability. A cloud setup can remove dependence on a particular home computer, but it does not by itself guarantee uninterrupted service.

Prepare lessons, stream details, and a recovery plan
- Make or clear the video files. Check that Hindi glyphs render correctly and that equations, diagrams, and captions remain legible on a phone. Keep the playlist limited to content you have permission to transmit.
- Set the order and labels. Organize by class, subject, chapter, and session. Add a title, thumbnail, playlist guide, and description that identify the syllabus and whether the program is live or prerecorded.
- Assign responsibility. Name an operator or team responsible for checking the stream, handling a stopped encoder, restoring the playlist, monitoring chat, and responding to rights notices. YouTube’s encoder guidance does not promise unattended 24/7 uptime.
- Write down the restart procedure. Record how to check the encoder, restore the right playlist position if possible, restart the broadcast, and tell viewers about a gap. Test the actual intended run length rather than assuming a short rehearsal proves an all-day setup.
Connect YouTube Studio to your encoder
YouTube Help’s “Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder” explains that an encoder converts audio and video to a digital format for streaming and supports production workflows such as screen sharing and external audio or video. The labels below reflect YouTube Studio’s documented flow; interface wording may change.
- Open YouTube Studio and choose Create → Go Live. Use the Live Control Room to create or schedule the stream. Add a clear title, description, visibility, and other stream details appropriate to the channel.
- Copy the stream connection details. In the Live Control Room, copy the YouTube stream URL/server and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoder. Keep the key private; if you suspect it has been exposed, replace it in Studio and update the encoder.
- Match output to your source and YouTube’s current guidance. Select a resolution and frame rate appropriate to the prepared video and the upload connection. Use the bitrate and keyframe settings recommended in the current Live Control Room or encoder guidance for that output. A single bitrate or keyframe value is not appropriate for every resolution, frame rate, or connection, so do not copy settings from a different production without checking them.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Confirm that video, Hindi text, and audio appear correctly in the Live Control Room before starting the broadcast. If you scheduled the stream, follow the Studio prompt to start it when ready.
- Rehearse privately or unlisted first. Check levels, readability, chapter transitions, loop boundary, captions or on-screen text, chat moderation, and the restart procedure. A rehearsal is production advice, not an official YouTube requirement.
Plan continuity, moderation, and replay as separate jobs
Continuity requires an operator plan
Decide who will notice a stopped stream, how they will restart or restore the playlist, and how viewers will be informed of a gap. Check the internet connection and the longest intended run under realistic conditions. For a cloud provider, check its restart and monitoring behavior, file limits, and support arrangements rather than treating “cloud” as a guarantee that the stream cannot stop.
Do not rely on one overlong stream for replay
YouTube Help’s encoder guide says, “All streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived.” It does not establish that an uninterrupted stream longer than 12 hours will be archived. If replay matters, publish lesson recordings separately or schedule sessions shorter than 12 hours, then check in Studio that the expected archive is available.

Staff the chat and know the platform limits
Set moderation appropriate for a school audience and staff chat when viewers may be present. YouTube’s general live-stream guidance says live content must follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. It documents limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key; a single revision channel will ordinarily need fewer.

Fix common launch and playback problems
- Live streaming is unavailable: Check channel verification, age eligibility, and whether a live-stream restriction is blocking access. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours before the planned launch.
- Studio shows no encoder preview: Confirm that the encoder is running and that the server/stream URL and stream key were copied into the correct fields. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in Studio and update the encoder.
- Video or audio is unstable: Compare the selected output with the prepared source and the current YouTube encoder guidance. Check the local connection and encoder output; reduce output demands or use a more suitable delivery route if the connection cannot sustain them.
- The playlist stops at the end: Check that looping is enabled in the encoder or playout service and test the transition before launch. Confirm what happens after a restart rather than assuming playback resumes at the intended lesson.
- The stream is interrupted by a copyright match: Stop or replace the matched material and review the rights record. Contact the rights holder about permission and, where applicable, Content ID allowlisting; a license alone may not prevent an automated interruption.
- A long broadcast has no replay: Do not assume a stream longer than 12 hours will be archived. Publish individual recordings or schedule shorter sessions, then verify the archive in Studio.
- Viewers cannot tell what is playing: Add a chapter card or persistent class/subject/chapter/session label and keep the Hindi playlist guide current.
Costs and equipment to budget for
A local setup uses a computer and depends on its power and internet connection; a cloud service shifts playback off that computer but has a service cost. Hardware encoders add equipment and maintenance considerations. Compare the total workload and recurring costs for the run length you actually need, not just the initial setup. An external microphone is optional for original narration; there is no need to buy one if existing audio is clear enough or the lessons are already recorded.
