The documented IRL Pro setup uses a streaming destination URL with RTMP or SRT; it does not show an in-app Google sign-in or YouTube OAuth connection. If a separate streaming service offers “Connect with YouTube,” authorize it on YouTube’s own consent screen, then configure the destination URL in IRL Pro.
Does IRL Pro connect to YouTube with Google?
IRL Pro’s documented setup is destination-based: choose RTMP or SRT, then paste a complete publish URL into the app. The guide does not document an OAuth-based YouTube account connection inside IRL Pro. IRL Pro is an Android streaming app that can send streams to YouTube and other destinations; the connection steps described here concern sending its output to YouTube.
Account authorization and stream destination setup are separate tasks. OAuth grants a service permission to access a YouTube account without disclosing the Google password. A publish URL tells an encoder where to send video and may contain a broadcast key. OAuth does not eliminate the need to configure a streaming destination.
Connect YouTube through a service that offers OAuth
If the service delivering your stream to YouTube has a clearly labeled “Connect with YouTube” option, use that service’s authorization flow rather than entering your Google password into an unrelated app form. Enhanced IRL documents one such flow; it is a separate service, not an IRL Pro feature.

- Start in the service dashboard. In Enhanced IRL, the documented path is Account → Platform connections → Connect with YouTube.
- Approve access on YouTube. The service redirects you to YouTube to review and approve the requested access. After approval, you return to the service dashboard with the channel connected. Google describes OAuth 2.0 as allowing users to share specific data with an application while keeping usernames and passwords private.
- Create a YouTube stream if needed. For the documented Enhanced IRL workflow, create a YouTube stream first if none exists, then sync the connection so the service can retrieve the broadcast key.
- Configure the destination for IRL Pro. In the service dashboard, choose RTMP or SRT and copy the complete publish URL. In IRL Pro, select the same protocol and paste that URL into its URL/server field. With SRT, the key is carried in the stream ID; with RTMP, the URL ends in the key.
Labels and available options may differ in other services. Do not assume that an OAuth connection in a separate dashboard means IRL Pro itself has signed into YouTube.
Keep the password and broadcast key separate
Your Google password and your YouTube broadcast key are different credentials. Never paste your Google password into a streaming URL field. Protect the broadcast key too: Enhanced IRL’s security guidance warns that someone with the key may be able to broadcast as the channel owner. Share a complete publish URL only with a service and device you trust, and avoid posting it in screenshots, chat, or public support requests.

If you suspect a key has been exposed, use YouTube’s live-stream settings to replace or reset it, then update the URL configured in the service and IRL Pro. The exact controls can vary with YouTube’s interface and stream setup.
Check YouTube Live eligibility
Google’s YouTube Live Streaming API documentation says a channel must be approved or enabled for Live use, and the API does not support service-account authorization for linking a YouTube account. Account authorization uses a user-approved flow instead. If the channel cannot create or start a live stream, resolve its Live eligibility in YouTube before troubleshooting IRL Pro’s URL.

Troubleshoot connection problems
- YouTube never opens an approval screen: Confirm you selected the service’s explicit YouTube connection option. Entering a URL in IRL Pro configures a destination; it does not initiate OAuth.
- The service connects, but has no key: For the documented Enhanced IRL workflow, create a YouTube stream and sync the connection again so the service can retrieve its key.
- IRL Pro cannot connect to the destination: Verify that the protocol selected in IRL Pro matches the service’s setting, and paste the complete publish URL rather than only the key.
- The destination rejects the stream: Check that the URL belongs to the intended channel and that the key has not been changed or exposed. If you replaced the key, update the service and IRL Pro with the new complete URL.
- The channel cannot go live: Check YouTube Live approval or eligibility; successful OAuth authorization does not itself enable live streaming.
