In YouTube Studio, compare the livestream’s Supers revenue with its estimated ad revenue for the same video and identical dates. Supers includes Super Chat and related features; estimated ad revenue is the advertising category. Keep the figures separate, and revisit estimates after YouTube’s adjustments.
What you are comparing
Super Chat and other Supers
Super Chat is a viewer purchase that highlights a message in live chat during a stream or Premiere. It is reported as part of Supers, which also includes related features such as Super Stickers. YouTube Help says creators receive 70% of confirmed Supers revenue after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees are deducted; YouTube currently covers transaction costs such as credit-card fees. See YouTube Help’s Super Chat and Super Stickers guidance for the details.
Replay advertising
A replay is the video available after a livestream ends. Its ad earnings are advertising revenue from playback, not live-chat purchases. YouTube says Analytics can report ad revenue for both live streams and live replays, but whether ads serve is not guaranteed: delivery depends on YouTube’s ad systems and multiple factors. See YouTube’s guidance on monetizing a live stream.
For this comparison, “replay earnings” means replay ad revenue. A replay does not convert past live-chat Super Chats into playback ad revenue; the two are distinct reporting categories. YouTube defines Super Chat as a live-chat purchase and reports Supers separately from estimated ad revenue.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Compare the same video and dates in YouTube Studio
- Open the revenue report. In YouTube Studio, go to Analytics > Revenue. Locate the Supers revenue and estimated ad revenue measures. The latter is for ads; Supers covers Super Chat and related Supers features. The available Android revenue guidance also describes checking these distinct measures: Check your YouTube revenue.
- Select the relevant livestream video. Use that video’s analytics rather than comparing channel-wide totals. YouTube’s live-stream metrics are based on video ID, and reporting may offer Live, On demand, or Live & on demand playback views. If the report exposes a playback category relevant to your question, use it; otherwise compare the two revenue types at the same video level and over a common date range. See YouTube’s live-stream metrics guidance.
- Set identical start and end dates. For a replay-only ad comparison, choose the period in which viewers watched the replay, then compare Supers and estimated ad revenue over that same period. Do not put a lifetime Supers total beside a short replay-only ad window: the mismatch in dates makes the result misleading.
- Keep currency and units consistent. Compare amounts in the same displayed currency and for the same period. If you want a ratio, define it yourself—for example, replay estimated ad revenue divided by Supers revenue. That is a simple arithmetic comparison, not a YouTube-defined performance metric.
- Record the reporting status. Note that ad revenue is estimated, and preserve the date you checked it. Recheck after YouTube’s revenue adjustments have had time to appear.
Why RPM is not the answer
RPM is not a substitute for either revenue figure. YouTube defines it as revenue per thousand views after revenue share and says it can combine ads, YouTube Premium, memberships, Super Chat, and Super Stickers. It therefore blends sources and divides by views instead of showing the two amounts you want to compare. Use the separate revenue categories. See Understand ad revenue analytics.
How to read the result
The comparison answers how much was reported in two categories for a chosen video and period; it does not establish that one source will reliably outperform the other. Supers depends on viewers making purchases, while replay advertising depends on ad delivery. YouTube notes that ad slots are not guaranteed to serve.

Also distinguish an estimate from finalized earnings. YouTube says estimated revenue may be adjusted for invalid traffic, Content ID claims and disputes, and some ad campaign types. Its guidance describes adjustments once about a week after revenue is generated and again in the middle of the following month as earnings are finalized. Your agreement and final payment records govern your individual earnings. See YouTube Partner earnings overview.
