In YouTube Studio, open Content, select the Live tab, choose your livestream, and open Analytics. To examine ad-revenue reporting for live streams and replays, use YouTube Analytics’ Live filter. Check the metric label carefully: ad impressions count ads displayed on the video, while thumbnail impressions count appearances of your stream thumbnail on YouTube.
Find the livestream’s analytics in YouTube Studio

Sign in to YouTube Studio.

In the left menu, select Content, then choose the Live tab.

Select the livestream you want to inspect and open Analytics. This is the documented route to stream-level analytics in YouTube Studio. YouTube Studio Help: View live stream data on a computer.

For live-stream and live-replay ad-revenue reporting, open YouTube Analytics and select the Live filter. The Live chip under Content also groups live-stream performance during and after a stream. YouTube Help: Content tab analytics tips – Live · YouTube Help: Monetize your live stream.

If the stream is still running, the available data may not be final or current to the minute. YouTube says video-level live-stream analytics are available within minutes after a stream ends; its help does not specify a fixed ad-impression refresh interval for an active, always-on stream.
Make sure you are reading ad impressions
These metrics answer different questions. Use the label shown in Analytics rather than treating every kind of impression or playback as an ad impression.

YouTube defines these metrics in Understand ad revenue analytics. CPM and playback-based CPM describe advertiser-side costs; they are not the same as your revenue per view.
Interpret a low or changing count carefully
Turning monetization on does not guarantee that an ad will appear in every slot. YouTube states that ad slots are not guaranteed to serve ads: its systems determine whether a slot receives an ad. Ad availability can depend on factors including targeting fit, viewer geography, recent ad exposure, and whether the viewer has YouTube Premium. If thumbnail impressions rise but ad impressions do not, the numbers are measuring different stages: thumbnail exposure is not an ad shown on the video.

If monetized playbacks and ad impressions differ, that alone is not an error. One ad-bearing playback may include multiple ads.

If an active stream’s count appears unchanged, do not assume the metric refreshes in real time. The reviewed YouTube guidance does not establish a fixed update interval while the stream is live.

If you are checking revenue as well as impressions, treat it as a separate metric. YouTube Analytics includes a Live filter for live-stream and live-replay ad-revenue reporting; the Revenue tab provides revenue context for eligible creators. YouTube Help: Get started with YouTube Analytics.
