Removing the app or stopping use of a device does not turn off recurring billing.
Find the company billing STARZ
The device you use to watch STARZ is not necessarily the company charging you. A Roku player, Fire TV, Apple TV, or smart-TV app may only be the viewing method while Apple, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, STARZ, or a television provider manages payment.
- Check your bank or credit-card statement for the merchant name.
- Search email for the original STARZ receipt, renewal notice, or subscription confirmation.
- Review subscription pages in your STARZ, Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, and Hulu accounts.
- Check your cable, satellite, telecom, or live-TV provider’s account if STARZ is part of a television package.
STARZ’s U.S. Terms of Use distinguish direct subscriptions from subscriptions purchased through a distributor. The provider shown on the charge is the account where cancellation must be completed.

Before you cancel
- Note the next renewal date shown by the billing provider.
- Save the latest receipt and the account email you intend to use.
- Plan to keep watching until the current paid period ends. Under STARZ’s U.S. Terms of Use, effective June 23, 2026, cancellation generally stops the next renewal rather than ending access immediately.
- Do not assume unused days will be refunded. STARZ generally excludes refunds and prorated billing for canceled subscriptions, subject to legal requirements and separate distributor policies.
Cancel a subscription billed directly by STARZ
On a computer
- Go to STARZ.com and sign in.
- Select the user or profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Settings.
- Under Billing Plan & Information, select Cancel Subscription.
- Complete the prompts and select Submit.

In the STARZ mobile app
- Open the STARZ app and sign in.
- Tap More in the bottom-right corner.
- Choose Settings, then Account Management.
- Under My Subscription, select Cancel Subscription.
- Finish the cancellation in the browser window that opens and select Submit.
STARZ says direct subscribers receive a cancellation email. Keep it until after the next expected billing date.
Cancel STARZ billed by Apple
iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Select Subscriptions, choose STARZ, then select Cancel Subscription.
- Follow Apple’s confirmation prompts.
Apple TV
- Open Settings.
- Choose Users & Accounts, then Account.
- Select Subscriptions, choose STARZ, and cancel it.
Mac or PC
STARZ’s help instructions describe iTunes account settings: open iTunes, select Account and View My Account, authenticate if asked, then under Settings choose Subscriptions and Manage. Select STARZ and cancel. If Apple’s labels differ, use Apple’s current subscription-management screen. STARZ’s reference is its Apple cancellation guide.

Cancel STARZ billed through Google Play
Android
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile image or account menu and choose Subscriptions.
- Select STARZ, tap Cancel, and complete the prompts.
Computer
- Open Google Play subscriptions.
- Go to My Subscriptions.
- Find STARZ and select Cancel.
This applies when Google Play actually bills the subscription, not merely when you use a Google account to sign in. STARZ’s instructions are at its Google cancellation page.
Cancel STARZ through Amazon
Amazon has two different STARZ billing routes. Choose the one in which STARZ appears.

Amazon Prime Video Channels
- Go to Amazon channel subscriptions and sign in.
- Under Your Channels, find STARZ.
- Select Cancel Subscription and complete the confirmation prompts.
Amazon Appstore on Kindle or Fire TV
- Open Amazon Appstore subscriptions.
- Find STARZ and select Actions.
- Choose Cancel your subscription and confirm.
STARZ documents both Amazon paths at its Amazon cancellation guide. Amazon also explains that a subscription created through a third party must be canceled with that third party; its help page is Prime Video help.
Cancel STARZ billed by Roku
On a Roku player
- Highlight the STARZ app on the Roku home screen.
- Press the Options (*) button on the remote.
- Choose Manage Subscription.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
On a computer
- Sign in to Roku account subscriptions.
- Open Manage Your Subscriptions.
- Select STARZ and choose Unsubscribe.
These steps apply only when Roku manages the billing. STARZ’s instructions are at its Roku cancellation page. Roku’s subscription and refund information is at Roku’s policy page.

Cancel the STARZ add-on through Hulu
- Open Hulu add-ons and sign in.
- Deselect STARZ.
- Select Review Changes.
- Confirm the change on the next page.
This removes the STARZ Premium add-on from Hulu; it is not canceled inside the STARZ app. See STARZ’s Hulu instructions.

There is no single STARZ cancellation screen for cable and satellite customers. Use the provider’s website, app, billing department, or customer-service channel and ask specifically to remove the STARZ premium channel or add-on. Deleting the STARZ app does not remove a television-package charge. Procedures and effective dates vary by provider. STARZ’s guidance is at its cable and satellite cancellation page.

Other distributors and bundles
STARZ uses the broader term Distributor for a company that sells or bills the subscription. This can include a live-TV service, telecom company, bundle, or reseller not listed above. Cancel with the company shown on your statement. STARZ support identifies provider-login routes, including “Log in With TV Provider,” and notes that some Amazon Channels and Roku Channels arrangements may not provide access to the STARZ app. See STARZ login troubleshooting.
Confirm that cancellation worked
- Return to the same provider’s subscription page and verify that STARZ no longer has an upcoming renewal.
- Save a screenshot or PDF of the status page, including the date if shown.
- For direct STARZ billing, look for the cancellation email STARZ says it sends.
- Keep the confirmation until the next expected charge has passed.
Labels and confirmation methods differ among providers, so the account record and payment statement are more reliable than whether the app remains installed or playable.
If you cannot find a Cancel button
- You may be signed into the wrong STARZ, Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, or provider account.
- The subscription may be billed by a distributor rather than STARZ.
- You may have already canceled it and be viewing the remaining paid period.
- You may be using ordinary STARZ credentials when the subscription requires Log in With TV Provider.
Check the merchant on your statement, then inspect the corresponding subscription manager instead of repeatedly trying to cancel in the STARZ app.
If STARZ charged you after cancellation
- Write down the charge date, cancellation date, and renewal date.
- Confirm that cancellation was completed with the company that processed the charge.
- Check for a cancellation email or a changed renewal status.
- Look for a second STARZ subscription under another email address or platform account.
- Contact the billing provider first. For direct STARZ billing, contact STARZ support; for Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, or a television provider, that company controls the billing record and its refund process.
Do not assume a refund is guaranteed. STARZ’s current U.S. terms generally exclude refunds and prorated charges, while a distributor may apply different rules.

Under STARZ’s U.S. Terms of Use effective June 23, 2026, cancellation generally prevents the next renewal while access remains available through the end of the current paid billing period. A distributor’s own terms may control the exact timing. A free trial can convert to paid billing unless it is canceled before the offer’s stated renewal point; check the trial record for its specific date and conditions.
