A scheduled suspension is a separate situation. What a video appeal must contain
YouTube’s current instructions require a new, unlisted appeal video uploaded to the channel being appealed. It must be shorter than five minutes, submitted from the creator’s account, and include the channel URL in its first 30 seconds. Do not put appeal information in the video description. You may appear on camera or narrate over visuals. If your narration is in a language outside YouTube’s supported list, the instructions allow English subtitles, but they must not be auto-generated; check YouTube’s current supported-language list before submitting. - Open with identification. Show or state the channel URL within the first 30 seconds, then identify the policy reason in the rejection notice that you are addressing.
- Explain the channel as a whole. YouTube asks creators to discuss the channel overall, not only a few videos that appear compliant. Connect the format and representative uploads to the specific policy concern.
- Show how the work is made. Include verifiable visual evidence of your creation process—such as source material you created, filming, editing, production decisions, or how you assemble and vary the stream. Explain what you personally contribute or control.
- Connect evidence to viewer value. Explain what viewers receive from the content and how its substance is original, varied, or otherwise meaningfully valuable. Use examples from the actual channel rather than general assurances.
- Keep it within the rules. Upload the new video as unlisted, keep it under five minutes, and leave appeal details out of its description.
Submit the appeal in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to the YouTube account that owns the rejected channel and open YouTube Studio.
- Record and upload the appeal video to that same channel. Set its visibility to Unlisted, then copy the video URL.
- Open Earn in the channel’s monetization overview and choose the appeal option available there.
- Enter the appeal video URL and submit. If Studio offers Creator Support instead, follow the on-screen route and provide the requested information.
- Keep a copy of the submitted video and note the status or response shown in Studio.
The exact button labels or options can vary with the account and its status, so follow the live Earn page rather than assuming a route from another creator’s channel. How looping livestreams are evaluated
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams. Reviewers may look at the channel’s main theme, most-viewed and newest videos, the content accounting for the biggest share of watch time, metadata and About section; YouTube describes these as examples, not an exhaustive list. On July 15, 2025, YouTube said it was renaming “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” to clarify that repetitive or mass-produced content is covered; it said the reused-content policy did not change. Similar formats are not automatically disqualifying, but YouTube says the substance of videos should be materially varied and deliver value. Build an evidence-led explanation
Before recording, map each point in the rejection notice to material that can be shown or explained. Be precise about what happens in the looping format: whether the same material repeats, how the stream changes, what is produced specifically for it, and how viewers benefit. Include representative examples rather than claiming the channel is original without demonstrating why. - Make claims verifiable: show the relevant workflow or content on screen where possible.
- Be candid about repetition: explain what is repeated and what, if anything, changes in substance.
- Address the whole channel: do not rely only on one unusually strong or compliant example.
- Separate rights from monetization: describe permissions accurately, but also answer any originality, transformation or value concern.
- Avoid guarantees or unsupported claims: production effort, repeated titles, narration, editing, ownership or permission alone does not guarantee YPP approval.
