To show recent channel activity throughout a live stream, add an event-list widget to an overlay and place that overlay in OBS as a browser source. In StreamElements, the documented recents data is a chronological list of the last 25 events. That differs from an AlertBox, which displays live events in a popup-like manner.
Choose a persistent list or a popup alert
An event list keeps recent activity visible as a list; a popup alert calls attention to an event when it happens. StreamElements documents AlertBox as a native widget that displays live events from the queue in a popup-like behavior. That description does not mean an AlertBox alone provides a persistent recent-events list.

Available event types can vary by platform and account. Confirm that the widget supports the specific activity you want to display rather than assuming feature parity across Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or other services.
Create an overlay in StreamElements

In StreamElements, open Overlays and create a new overlay.

Choose the overlay resolution. StreamElements recommends matching the stream resolution, or choosing a smaller canvas if you want more flexibility when positioning it in your broadcasting software.

Add a list-oriented widget if its behavior suits your needs. For a persistent recent-events display, look for a widget that presents
recentsor create a custom widget that uses that data. The documented list contains up to the last 25 events. -
If you need custom behavior, create a Custom Widget and configure its event handling. Use the event types available for your platform; the documented follower example should not be taken as proof that every event type works on every platform.

Add the overlay to OBS

Copy the overlay URL from StreamElements.

In OBS, add a Browser Source and use the copied URL.

Set the source width and height to fit the overlay canvas. StreamElements’ YouTube setup tutorial uses 1920 by 1080 as an example; those dimensions are not a universal requirement.

Position and resize the source in your scene so the list does not obscure important documentary footage, captions, or other presentation elements.

Check legibility and event coverage before going live

Preview the overlay against your actual scene and confirm the list is readable at the size viewers will see.

Check that long names and event labels fit without clipping or covering essential content.

Confirm that the event types you want appear in the selected widget for your platform. The platform’s current event documentation is the best place to verify coverage.

Preview the intended event types before going live. The setup references describe overlays and event data; they do not establish that every configuration will trigger every event in a live broadcast.
