That wording matters: Streamlabs describes 11 as additional, while another Streamlabs article refers to all 12 Collab Cam slots. Choose the right Collab Cam plan

Capacity is a plan limit, not a guarantee that every computer or connection can handle 11 simultaneous feeds smoothly. Streamlabs has not published a recommended specification, bandwidth requirement, or tested layout for exactly 11 guests in the cited guides.
Add guests in Streamlabs Desktop
- Open Streamlabs Desktop and choose the scene that will contain the guests.
- In Sources, click the plus sign, select Collab Cam, and add the source.
- Open the Collab Cam source and choose Start Collab Cam.
- Copy the generated invitation link and send it privately to the people you want to join. Streamlabs describes sharing it by direct message or email.
- Ask each guest to open the link in a browser and join. Check their video before putting it on the broadcast.
- For each guest you are ready to show, click Show on Stream. Joining the session and appearing to viewers are separate actions.
- Repeat for the remaining guests, then arrange and size the feeds in your scene. Test the complete layout before the event; the official guides do not prescribe a tested layout for 11 feeds.

Check audio and protect the guest link
Make sure viewers can hear guests
The host may hear a guest even when the audience cannot. Before starting the discussion, check the stream’s audience-side audio; if the guest is missing, Streamlabs suggests adding an extra microphone source. Verify the routing in a test rather than assuming that hearing the guest locally means the broadcast receives that audio.

Keep invitations private
- Share the Collab Cam link only with people you know and trust.
- If you are already live, do not share your screen while setting up Collab Cam; the invite link could be exposed.
- If the link may have reached someone unintended, generate a new one and distribute the replacement privately.
- Guests also need to follow the rules of the platform where you are streaming.
Use Collab Cam on a phone or tablet
Streamlabs documents Mobile Collab Cam for iOS and Android. The general mobile flow is to create or choose a scene, add a guest layer, name the guest, and share the join link. The host can adjust guest placement and audio/video settings, and can copy or regenerate the link. Guests may join before the stream starts or while it is live. The exact navigation differs by operating system, so follow the matching iOS or Android section of the Streamlabs Mobile Collab Cam guide, published September 21, 2023 and last updated December 9, 2025.
A spare phone, tablet, or laptop can also serve as an optional camera angle. It is not required for a remote guest to join and does not unlock Ultra capacity. Streamlabs’ group-streaming guidance also describes phones as extra views for an in-room group.

Troubleshoot common Collab Cam problems
