Streamlabs announced that it paused Skrill and paysafecard as tip payment methods effective March 6, 2023. Its latest located notice, updated September 5, 2025, still describes the pause and gives no date for restoring support. Check your Streamlabs dashboard or ask Streamlabs Support whether Skrill is available for your account before sharing a tip link.
Is Skrill still supported on Streamlabs?
Streamlabs’ support notice, by Kevin and last updated September 5, 2025, says: “On Mar 6, 2023, we will be pausing support for Skrill and Paysafecard as tip payment methods while Skrill works to resolve some technical issues.” The notice explains that creators would not receive new Skrill tips after that date, although tips sent before then could still be withdrawn. The latest located notice does not give a resumption date. This is Streamlabs’ published status, not a claim that every account dashboard has been independently checked.
Streamlabs has a Skrill help article originally published August 31, 2016 and updated April 25, 2025. It describes connecting a Skrill account and handling withdrawals, but those historical instructions do not establish that new Skrill tips can currently be enabled. The pause notice is the more relevant guidance for current availability.
Before telling viewers to pay by Skrill, look in your account’s tip-method settings or contact Streamlabs Support and confirm that the option is enabled for your account and location. Skrill’s merchant guide notes that checkout methods can vary by customer country and the methods configured for a merchant account; that general variation does not mean Streamlabs currently offers Skrill.

How to set up a currently available tip method
Streamlabs’ general process is to connect an available payment method, configure the tip page, and share that page with supporters. The precise options can vary by account, processor, and region, so use the labels and eligibility information shown in your current dashboard.
- Open your Streamlabs dashboard. Review its available tipping or payment settings. Streamlabs’ more detailed setup guidance uses the path Tipping > Tip Methods.
- Choose a method that is actually offered to you. Select the payment processor in the dashboard and complete its connection steps. For PayPal, Streamlabs says to link the correct PayPal email in donation settings.
- Configure the tip page. Set the available page options, which may include a minimum tip, a recommended amount, display currency, and a custom message or image. Check the live page after saving.
- Share the tip-page link. Streamlabs’ tipping page supports one-time or monthly recurring contributions through PayPal. Tell viewers which methods are available on the page rather than promising Skrill unless you have verified it.
PayPal and card tipping alternatives
PayPal and card options may be alternatives when they appear in your dashboard and are available to you and your viewers. Streamlabs says it does not take a cut of tips, but third-party processing fees can still apply; availability and fees are not universal guarantees.

PayPal
Connect the correct PayPal email in Streamlabs’ donation settings, then confirm that the tip page routes contributions to the intended account. Streamlabs describes one-time and monthly recurring contributions. Review PayPal’s terms and any currency-conversion or withdrawal charges that apply to your own account.
Credit-card option
Streamlabs’ Stripe FAQ says creators need a checking account and must be at least 18. Processor verification may require identity details. The FAQ lists card support in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Streamlabs’ FAQ gives a standard processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 USD, says fees vary by streamer and donor country, and says Streamlabs takes no fee on card tips. Confirm current coverage and fees in the linked FAQ and your dashboard because these details can change.

What the older Skrill fee details mean
Streamlabs’ Skrill help article, updated in 2025, lists the following charges and handling details. They are historical published figures, not confirmation that these methods are currently available or that the terms still apply:

Before you publish a tip link
- Confirm the method is visible and connected in your own dashboard, and test the public tip page.
- Check which country and currency rules apply to you and to supporters, including conversion, withdrawal, and processor charges.
- Review payout destination, settlement timing, verification requirements, and any age restrictions for the selected provider.
- Do not advertise Skrill as an option unless Streamlabs has confirmed it is enabled for your account.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Streamlabs’ old Skrill setup instructions to enable tips now?
No. The older Skrill article is historical guidance; the later Streamlabs notice says support was paused and gives no restoration date. Verify availability in your account or with Streamlabs Support.
