Flavor Flav said he has eight children in a 2024 interview—not seven. That is the clearest recent first-person count in the available coverage, though it does not settle every detail of his family. A 2011 interview referred to seven children, and the sources do not explain when or why the reported count changed.
How many children does Flavor Flav have?
In a 2024 appearance on Just B with Bethenny Frankel, Flavor Flav corrected the interviewer’s question about whether he had nine children and said he had eight. Later, he repeated, “I got eight children.” The iHeart-hosted interview transcript records his own statement; it is not an independently audited family record.

The seven-child figure also has a source: a 2011 Daily Beast interview referred to him having seven children. The available sources do not say whether the difference reflects a later change in the count, a different way of counting, or another explanation. The most careful answer is therefore that Flav said eight in 2024, while an older interview used seven.
Which children did he name, and what ages did he give?
In the 2024 interview, Flav named Karma, whom he described as 17, and Jordan, whom he described as 4. He also gave the ages of six other children without naming them in that passage: 38, 37, 36, 30, 28 and 26. These are ages as stated during the interview, not current ages.

A 2024 Yahoo Entertainment report, summarizing a People article, names Shanique, Karren, Kayla and Da’Zyna among his children. That secondary report does not provide a fully consistent, independently verified roster. Taken together, the sources support reporting these names with attribution, but not presenting them as a definitive list of all eight children.

Biography.com’s profile, updated March 12, 2020, says Karen Moss is the mother of three of Flav’s children. The 2024 Yahoo report instead refers to an ex-partner named Karen Ross and associates her with three daughters. Because the surnames differ, these references should not be treated as confirmed to be the same person.
The sources cited here do not establish a complete parentage breakdown for all eight children. Claims about who each child’s mother is would go beyond what they reliably show.
