Liv Morgan’s 2024 success story was a year-long WWE arc that turned a return into two championship milestones. She came back at the Royal Rumble, won the Women’s World Championship from Becky Lynch, retained it against Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam, then became the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. WWE called the storyline the “Liv Morgan Revenge Tour.” “Biggest success story” is a judgment about that sequence of results and storytelling—not a measured ranking of popularity or performance across WWE.
How the Revenge Tour began
Morgan returned at the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble on January 27 as entrant No. 30. She reached the final three and eliminated Jade Cargill, but Bayley eliminated Morgan and went on to win the match. Morgan did not win the Rumble or its WrestleMania opportunity; her return instead established the starting point for the year’s championship story. WWE’s Royal Rumble account connects the comeback to a revenge narrative involving Rhea Ripley, who had previously injured Morgan in the storyline.
How Morgan won the Women’s World Championship
On May 25 at King and Queen of the Ring in Jeddah, Morgan defeated Becky Lynch to take the Women’s World Championship. WWE’s match account describes Dominik Mysterio trying to interfere against Morgan, inadvertently distracting Lynch, and later bringing a chair into play. Morgan used the chair before hitting Oblivion. This was a scripted match finish and storyline development, not evidence of real-world conduct. WWE’s event coverage records the title change; the Saudi Press Agency also reported Morgan’s successful title result at the Jeddah event.
The immediate rematch on Raw
Two days later, on May 27, Morgan retained the championship against Lynch in a Steel Cage Match on Raw. WWE again made Mysterio’s accidental involvement part of the finish. The cage rematch gave the new champion an immediate follow-up defense, distinct from the May 25 match in Jeddah. WWE Raw results for May 27 document that bout.

Why SummerSlam made the title run a character story
On August 3, Morgan defeated Ripley at SummerSlam to retain the Women’s World Championship. WWE’s account emphasizes Mysterio’s interference and his storyline turn away from Ripley toward Morgan. That finish gave the rivalry a personal and character-driven dimension alongside the title defense. It also brought the central conflict of the Revenge Tour back to Morgan’s former rival. The year’s second championship milestone
At Crown Jewel on November 2, Morgan defeated WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax to become the first-ever Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. WWE’s account says Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez helped Morgan, while Tiffany Stratton’s involvement also affected the match. The Crown Jewel title was a separate achievement from Morgan’s Women’s World Championship, and its inaugural status made the result a historic distinction in WWE’s presentation. WWE’s Crown Jewel coverage identifies Morgan as the first champion.

WWE’s performer profile describes the 2024 return as the “Liv Morgan Revenge Tour” and connects it with both championships. That is WWE’s own retrospective framing. The documented results support calling Morgan’s year a major success story, but they do not establish an objective ranking against every other WWE performer: no comparative popularity, revenue, audience, or performance measure is given.
