Their statement read: “We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

What Kyle said after the relationship became public
In a June 15, 2026 interview with Bravo recorded backstage at the Summer House Season 10 reunion, Kyle said the news affected him differently than he was trying to let on. “I’m just trying to rise above it all and not let my emotions get the best of me, which is pretty much what I’ve made a living here on Bravo doing,” he said. “So I’m just trying to be cool, calm, and collected.”
He also described the effect on the separation he and Amanda had been trying to keep amicable: “Amanda and I were working so hard to have an amicable break,” he said. “We’ve seen some of our friends have absolutely horrific public splits, and we were kind of doing OK and this was an uppercut.” Read Bravo’s interview with Kyle.

At the reunion, Amanda and West said their romance began in late February 2026, after Amanda and Kyle announced their separation.
