Jack Osbourne and Lisa Stelly’s divorce changed their household from a married couple’s home into a co-parenting arrangement. In 2019, Jack’s mother, Sharon Osbourne, described her home as a source of stability for the couple’s three daughters and said the split had been hard on Jack. Those accounts show a family adapting; they do not establish that the divorce changed the entire Osbourne family forever.
When did Jack Osbourne and Lisa Stelly divorce?
Their separation, divorce filing and legal finalization happened at different points between 2018 and 2019:
- October 2012: Jack and Lisa married, according to Us Weekly. Their daughter Pearl had been born earlier that year.
- May 4, 2018: This was the separation date listed in divorce documents, as reported by Us Weekly. It is a date reported from the documents, not one independently verified here.
- May 2018: Lisa filed for divorce. On May 18, Jack and Lisa publicly announced their separation.
- August 2018: Us Weekly reported that the divorce details had been settled and the couple had agreed to joint custody.
- March 5, 2019: A judge finalized the divorce, according to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly and reported on March 7.
The distinction matters: May 4 was the date recorded for their separation, May was when Lisa filed, and March 2019 was when the divorce was finalized. The available reporting does not establish why the marriage ended.
How did the split change family life?
Jack and Lisa framed their decision around their children and their relationship after marriage. In a joint statement reported by Us Weekly in May 2018, they said: “What’s best for our family right now is that we separate lovingly, and remain best friends who are committed to raising our children together.” That was their stated intention at the time, rather than proof on its own of how every part of co-parenting unfolded.

They have three daughters: Pearl, Andy and Minnie. Their parents’ separation meant a different household arrangement for the children, while their grandparents remained part of their support system. In August 2019, Sharon described her and Ozzy’s home as a place where the girls could find stability during the change.
What did Sharon Osbourne say about Jack’s divorce?
Sharon spoke about the family’s experience in an interview with People, as reported by Fox News on August 14, 2019. She said the divorce had been emotionally difficult for Jack and described the grandparents’ home as a stable place for the children:

“When this happens in families — and it happens all the time — they have to have the stability somewhere,”
She also characterized Jack and Lisa’s relationship as civil and said they were at a good place with each other. Her comments offer Sharon’s perspective on how the family responded; they are not an independent assessment of the couple’s private arrangements.

The public record in the cited entertainment reporting supports specific changes: Jack and Lisa ended their marriage, settled into co-parenting, and relied on grandparents as part of the children’s support network. It also records Sharon’s view that the transition was hard on Jack and that the girls needed stability.
It does not show that the divorce permanently transformed the wider Osbourne family. In a September 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jack spoke about what he had learned from his parents as a father and described family ties as intertwined. That provides later context about his family and parenting, not evidence of an irreversible effect from the divorce. The word “forever” therefore works as a dramatic framing, not a conclusion established by the reporting.
