Brock Lesnar was named in allegations in Janel Grant’s amended complaint, but ESPN reported that he was not a defendant in the lawsuit. The complaint attributes alleged conduct to Vince McMahon; the allegations are not court findings and do not establish Lesnar’s knowledge, intent, or legal liability.
What the lawsuit alleges about Brock Lesnar
Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a civil complaint on January 25, 2024, against WWE, Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. The complaint alleges sexual abuse, coercion and trafficking. Those claims are allegations in a civil pleading, not established facts. Case overview
The original complaint did not name Lesnar. It referred instead to an unnamed “world-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion” in allegations about McMahon sharing explicit material and attempting to connect Grant with a wrestler. Original complaint
Grant’s amended complaint, filed January 31, 2025, named Lesnar. ESPN reported that Grant alleged McMahon offered her to Lesnar for sex in 2021, sought customized sexual content for him and arranged for him to travel to Connecticut for a proposed encounter that did not happen. These are allegations attributed to Grant’s pleading, as summarized by ESPN—not proven events. ESPN report on the amended complaint ESPN’s summary of the allegations

Was Brock Lesnar sued?

The original complaint named WWE, McMahon and Laurinaitis; the available reporting does not establish Lesnar’s knowledge, intent or legal liability. Case overview ESPN report
What did the parties say?
In ESPN’s February 1, 2025 report, McMahon denied the allegations and, through attorney Jessica Rosenberg, called the proposed amended complaint “nothing more than the latest publicity stunt in an ongoing smear campaign.” ESPN reported at that time that Lesnar and longtime producer Michael Hayes had not publicly commented on the amended complaint. That dated report does not establish their current positions. ESPN report on responses
