ComicBook.com placed it at No. 8 for the week of February 2–8, and ComingSoon reported it at No. 4 for February 9–15. Those are dated U.S. chart snapshots—not a current ranking or evidence of a worldwide audience surge.
What is Homefront about?

How did it become a Netflix chart hit?
The reported rankings rose across two consecutive weeks on the U.S. Netflix film chart:
| Week | Reported U.S. placement | Source |
|---|---|---|
| February 2–8, 2026 | No. 8 among Netflix films; ComicBook.com reported this as the film’s first week in the service’s Top 10. | ComicBook.com |
| February 9–15, 2026 | No. 4 on the Netflix Top 10 Movies list. | ComingSoon |
These placements show that Homefront ranked higher on the reported U.S. list the following week. They do not establish how many people watched it, whether it ranked similarly in other countries, or what caused the bump. ComicBook.com floated a possible connection to a new Statham release, but the chart reports do not demonstrate a cause.

Does “13 years later” mean exactly 13 years?
No. It is rounded headline language. Homefront opened theatrically in the United States on November 27, 2013, and the cited chart weeks fell in February 2026—just over 12 years later. Box Office Mojo lists the film’s cumulative worldwide gross at $48,449,416: $20,158,898 domestic and $28,290,518 international. Those are cumulative totals listed by Box Office Mojo, accessed in 2026, rather than a newly reported 2026 box-office result.
Is Homefront underrated?
“Underrated” is a judgment, not something the chart position or review scores can prove. When accessed in 2026, Rotten Tomatoes showed a 42% Tomatometer based on 112 reviews and a 61% Popcornmeter based on more than 25,000 ratings. The gap suggests that the audience and critic aggregates were not identical, but neither score measures artistic quality on its own; both can change as ratings and reviews are added.
The Netflix rankings answer a different question: how the film placed relative to other titles on a reported weekly U.S. list. A chart appearance can renew attention to a back-catalog film, but it is not a substitute for reviews or a measure of total viewing figures.

Availability depends on location and can change. When accessed, Rotten Tomatoes listed Netflix streaming and Fandango rental or purchase options. Netflix’s own Homefront title page displayed a country-specific notice that the film was unavailable there. Check the services available in your country for current access; a listing on an aggregator does not guarantee the film is included in every regional catalog.
