The Los Angeles Times reported that two new episodes of Rehab Addict were scheduled to air on February 11, 2026, but did not. On that date, AOL reported that Radar Online shared footage from filming, while TVLine also reported the footage on February 11. On February 12, reports said HGTV had canceled the series and removed it from its platforms. Those reports describe the network’s action; they do not reveal how HGTV made its decision.
What did HGTV say?
In a statement reported by TVLine, HGTV said: “HGTV was recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of ‘Rehab Addict.’” The network said language like that was hurtful and disappointing to viewers, partners, and employees, did not align with its values, and that it had removed the series from all HGTV platforms. How did Nicole Curtis respond?
AOL reported that Curtis apologized in a statement to TMZ: “I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologize to everyone.” AOL

What is Rehab Addict?
The Los Angeles Times reported that Curtis’s renovation series had eight full seasons from 2010 to 2018, followed later by a shortened ninth-season run.
