American Chopper made the Teutuls and OCC’s builders household names, but their post-show paths did not all remain equally public. Here is what current first-party evidence supports—and what it does not—about the original crew.
American Chopper turned a family motorcycle shop and its builders into reality-TV fixtures. But a familiar face from the show is not automatically a person with a well-documented public career in 2026. The most accurate update is uneven: Paul Teutul Sr., Paul Teutul Jr., Vinnie DiMartino and Jason Pohl have current first-party business information available; Cody Connelly has a limited documented connection to the DiMartino group; and reliable recent professional updates for Mikey Teutul and Rick Petko could not be verified for this article.
That distinction matters. It is better reporting to say what the available evidence supports than to turn old credits, fan pages or recycled “where are they now?” claims into present-tense facts.
Who counts as the “original cast” of American Chopper?
There was no single official, fixed “original cast” roster across the franchise’s many seasons and specials. For this update, the term means the original Teutul-family leads most central to the show—Paul Sr., Paul Jr. and Mikey—plus the early, recurring Orange County Choppers builders most closely associated with its original run: Vinnie DiMartino, Rick Petko, Cody Connelly and Jason Pohl.

That is deliberately narrower than calling every later OCC employee an original cast member. Discovery’s revival material continued to frame Senior, Junior and Mikey as the core family story, while the wider franchise included many more people over time.
Paul Teutul Sr.: still the public face of Orange County Choppers
Current public information supports a straightforward conclusion: Paul Teutul Sr. remains the owner and public face of Orange County Choppers’ Florida-facing operation. OCC Road House’s crew page identifies him as the owner of Orange County Choppers and says the company was founded in 1999 at its former Newburgh, New York facility.
The current OCC Road House site is also promoting a 2026 OCC Invitational Bike Show, while OCC continues to market appearances, events, merchandise and partnerships. That is solid evidence of an active brand presence around Paul Sr.; it is not evidence that he has retired, personally built a particular recent bike, or signed on for a new television season.
The historical business split with his son is still useful context. Discovery’s 2018 revival coverage described Senior and Junior as operating separate shops—OCC and Paul Jr. Designs. In 2020, Discovery announced a special in which the pair returned to the old building and worked on a joint bike build. That special documents a reunion project, not a permanent merger or proof that they now routinely operate together.

Paul Teutul Jr. continues to run Paul Jr. Designs, but the company presents itself as more than a custom-bike shop. Its current biography traces his background from metalwork in his father’s steel business to his public profile as a designer and fabricator on American Chopper, then describes work across motorcycle design, products, cars, art and apparel.
One current example on the site is a collaboration with Troopers United Foundation: Paul Jr. Designs promotes a challenge coin created with the foundation and says it will donate 100 percent of net proceeds to the organization. That supports the narrower claim that PJD is currently promoting that collaboration. It should not be stretched into a claim about the company’s overall revenue, workload or every project Paul Jr. personally designs.

In short, Junior’s post-show identity is still rooted in design and fabrication, but his own business now frames that work across several categories rather than only televised motorcycles.
Vinnie DiMartino: repair work and a newer family business
Vinnie DiMartino’s own company history gives one of the clearest post-show updates. It says he joined OCC in 2002, left shortly after 2006, formed V-Force Customs with Cody Connelly in 2007, and later returned for American Chopper: Junior vs. Senior while running that business.

According to DiMartino Industries, Vinnie renamed the business DiMartino Motorsports in 2013 and returned to auto repair; the company describes DiMartino Motorsports as an automobile, truck and fleet service-and-repair shop.
He and his cousin Joey also launched DiMartino Industries in 2022. The business says it specializes in apparel and customized vehicles for giveaways. The current picture, then, is less about reality television and more about practical vehicle work, apparel and promotional vehicle customization.
Jason Pohl: an industrial designer with long-standing OCC ties
Jason Pohl continues to present himself publicly as an industrial designer. His biography says he studied at the Illinois Institute of Art, previously worked as an artist and animator in games, and has been Orange County Choppers’ lead designer since 2004. It also provides a route for prospective design-work inquiries.
That makes it reasonable to describe Pohl as a working industrial designer with a long-standing OCC design role. The biography does not date a specific new OCC project or television engagement, so a more expansive “return to the show” narrative would go beyond the available evidence.

Cody Connelly: a documented association, but not a verified current job title
Cody Connelly remains publicly connected to the DiMartino circle. The current DiMartino Industries crew biography refers to downtime spent by Vinnie, Joey and Cody cooking, riding and spending time with their families.
That is a useful but limited update. It does not identify Connelly’s present employer, title, company, television participation or day-to-day occupation. Claims that he currently runs a particular excavation, welding, motorcycle or utility business need a contemporary, independent source before they can be presented as fact.
Mikey Teutul and Rick Petko: the honest answer is that their current work is not verified here
Mikey Teutul was essential to American Chopper’s family dynamic, and Discovery’s revival framing confirms his importance to the franchise. But no reliable recent public source located for this article establishes a current art business, OCC role, project or professional position. Older reporting and past television storylines are history, not a present-day update.
Rick Petko is likewise an appropriate early recurring builder to include when discussing the classic OCC crew, but no reliable recent primary or credible source located for this article verifies a current employer, business, location or project. He appears to have remained comparatively private in public-facing coverage.
Neither gap should be filled with rumors, dated social-media material or stale listicle claims. A direct interview or a dated first-party statement would be needed for a fuller current update on either man.
What the franchise’s timeline does—and does not—show
| Year | Documented milestone | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1999 | OCC Road House says Orange County Choppers was founded by Paul Sr. at the former Newburgh facility. | The origin point for the company later made famous by the series. |
| 2018 | Discovery’s revival coverage described Senior and Junior as running separate shops. | OCC and Paul Jr. Designs remained distinct businesses in that framing. |
| 2020 | Discovery announced a father-son special built around revisiting the old building and collaborating on a bike. | A documented reunion project—not proof of an ongoing combined operation. |
| 2022 | DiMartino Industries says Vinnie and Joey DiMartino started the business. | A newer business alongside Vinnie’s vehicle-repair work. |
| 2026 | OCC Road House is advertising a 2026 OCC Invitational Bike Show. | Current evidence that the OCC brand remains active in public motorcycle events. |
The lasting story is bigger than a reunion update
The people most visibly linked to American Chopper did not all take the same path after the show. Paul Sr. remains attached to an active OCC public brand; Paul Jr. has broadened his design business; Vinnie DiMartino’s companies describe hands-on vehicle repair and custom promotional work; and Jason Pohl still identifies as an industrial designer with deep OCC roots.

For others, the most responsible answer is simply that their present work is not reliably public. That is not a lesser ending. It is a reminder that a long-running reality franchise can preserve a public image long after its participants’ lives—and their appetite for publicity—have changed.
For viewers revisiting the series itself, an American Chopper DVD is the most direct physical-media purchase to check; confirm the live listing’s edition, region compatibility, stock and price before buying.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. work together now?
Not in a way that current public evidence in this research establishes. Orange County Choppers remains publicly active through events and promotions, while Paul Jr. Designs continues as a separate design business. Discovery documented a joint 2020 special, but that does not show that the two businesses now operate as one.
Is Orange County Choppers still active?
Current OCC Road House pages identify Paul Sr. as owner of Orange County Choppers and promote a 2026 OCC Invitational Bike Show. That supports an active public OCC brand, but it does not confirm a new American Chopper season.
What is Mikey Teutul doing today?
No reliable recent public source located for this article establishes Mikey Teutul’s current professional role. Older accounts of his past ventures or personal story should not be represented as a verified 2026 update.
What happened to Rick Petko?
No reliable recent source located for this article verifies Rick Petko’s present employer, business, location or project. He has remained comparatively private in the available public record.

The Bottom Line
The verifiable 2026 picture is clear for Paul Sr., Paul Jr., Vinnie DiMartino and Jason Pohl—and deliberately limited for Cody Connelly, Mikey Teutul and Rick Petko. The absence of a reliable current source is a reporting boundary, not an invitation to repeat old rumors as news.
