Henry Samuel, the son of Heidi Klum and Seal, made his runway debut by opening Lena Erziak’s Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture show in Paris. The presentation took place at Hôtel Le Marois on January 28, 2025, according to Us Weekly and ABC News.
Henry Samuel opened Lena Erziak’s couture show
Samuel, also known as Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, opened the Spring/Summer 2025 presentation during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. The date supported by Us Weekly and ABC News is January 28, 2025. HelloBeautiful refers to January 29 in its article text, so reports differ by one day; the two accounts naming January 28 agree.
His opening role marked his first runway appearance. Heidi Klum publicly celebrated the milestone, according to Us Weekly and ABC News.
What he wore on the runway
Us Weekly described two black suits: one with a dramatic open back and another accessorized with an oversized black scarf. HelloBeautiful’s account described a cape look as well as a backless black suit. Because those descriptions vary, they are best understood as the outlets’ accounts rather than a definitive garment-by-garment inventory. Us Weekly’s report and HelloBeautiful’s coverage provide the respective descriptions.

His approach to the debut
Us Weekly reported that Samuel told Vogue Germany he felt “more excited than nervous” before the show and planned to do his best while enjoying the experience. The outlet also relayed advice from his sister, model Leni Klum, to look straight ahead and walk as though balancing a book on his head. His mother’s advice, as reported by Us Weekly, was to do his best and remember to have fun.
Hairstylist Alexander von Trentini said, in remarks to Vogue Germany quoted by Us Weekly, that the team kept Samuel’s natural look so he would feel comfortable. For his locs, von Trentini said he used a “special Afro sponge” to preserve texture and create a groomed finish. The report does not name a brand.
