Yes. Ann and Nancy Wilson returned to performing together as Heart after the 2016 assault involving Nancy’s sons, and reporting documented the sisters touring together again in 2025. That professional reunion does not mean every family disagreement was resolved, and the available reports do not confirm a Heart tour date in 2026.
What happened in 2016?
The Washington Post reported that the incident occurred on a Heart tour bus after a performance. According to the police report described by the paper, Ann Wilson’s husband, Dean Wetter, became enraged at Nancy Wilson’s teenage sons, punched one and put his hands around the other’s throat. The boys called 911. Wetter later pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree assault, the paper reported. The Washington Post’s account also describes disagreement between the sisters over how the incident was handled and a period when they were distant and pursued separate projects.

Did Ann and Nancy return to Heart together?
They did. Heart reunited for a 2024 tour. In an Associated Press interview published April 19, 2024, Nancy said, “We can take any kind of turbulence, me and Ann, and we’ve always been OK together.” She also said, “We’re still steering the ship and happy to do it together. So we’re tight.” Those comments describe Nancy’s view of their working relationship; they are not evidence that all family matters were settled. The Associated Press report covered the reunion and the band’s return to touring.
How did Ann Wilson’s health affect touring?
On July 2, 2024, Heart postponed its remaining North American Royal Flush Tour dates and its Journey and Def Leppard stadium dates because of Ann’s health. In a statement reproduced by Van Andel Arena, Ann said an operation had removed something that proved cancerous, that the operation was successful, and that doctors advised preventive chemotherapy. She said she planned to return to the stage in 2025 and called the postponement “merely a pause.” The statement did not provide further diagnosis details. Read the venue’s July 2, 2024 announcement.

In February 2025, the Los Angeles Times reported that Ann had completed chemotherapy and quoted her saying, “But I’m clear.” Later 2025 coverage also described her recovery and the sisters’ return to the road. These are dated statements and reports, not independent medical assessments. The Los Angeles Times profile places the touring story in the context of Heart’s 50th anniversary and the 1975 release of the band’s debut, Dreamboat Annie.
Does Heart have a future, and is there a 2026 tour?
In a 2025 interview with Lehigh Valley Public Media, Nancy Wilson spoke positively about Heart’s future after the hiatus and reunion. That reporting documents the band’s activity and Nancy’s outlook at that time; it does not guarantee future performances. The source set here does not establish an authoritative, exact 2026 Heart schedule. Ann Wilson’s official website and its linked tour page, retrieved October 8, 2026, do not establish a Heart date. Heart’s wider history
The reunion sits within a long musical partnership: Lehigh Valley Public Media reported that Heart had sold 25 million albums and logged 18 Top 30 hits. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 and received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2023, according to the same outlet. These milestones help explain the significance of the sisters’ return to the stage, but they do not change what can be established about their private relationship.
