Dave continued to work in film after 2018. In October 2025, ComingSoon reported on his role in Together, his appearance in Regretting You, and his then-upcoming Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. The Associated Press also interviewed him about Regretting You that month. Dave had described trying to build a separate professional identity before the allegations. In a 2016 Irish Times interview, he said, “As much as I love and respect my brother, I’ve had to distance myself from him work-wise,” explaining that he wanted credibility and a career of his own.
