Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, joined the Greek-mythology theme as a stone figure. Here are the reported costume details and where to see party photos.
Heidi Klum’s Medusa costume took 10 hours to put on
Klum arrived in a vivid green look with shimmering scales, intricate body paint and a sculpted headpiece covered in snakes. She told the Associated Press that getting into costume took 10 hours, and explained the deliberately frightening effect she wanted: “So I wanted to be really, really like a really ugly, ugly Medusa. And I feel like we nailed it – to the teeth,” Klum said before pointing to fangs in her mouth. Associated Press coverage reported the account.
Before the party, Klum had teased the transformation to Good Morning America: “I’m ready already,” Klum told “Good Morning America” on Wednesday about her costume. “But if I had to give you a tease, I’m gonna be very ugly. Very scary! But very ugly.” ABC News coverage described the finished look’s scales, body paint and snake-covered headpiece.
Tom Kaulitz completed the mythological pairing
Kaulitz wore a stone figure costume alongside Klum’s Medusa. Accounts describe it variously as a man turned to stone, a Greek soldier frozen in stone, or a silver knight statue; “stone figure” captures the shared description without assigning him a specific mythological identity. The paired looks connected through Greek mythology, while contrasting Medusa’s living snakes and green color with Kaulitz’s statue-like appearance.
