Harper’s Bazaar called the gown “an ornate, rococo take on the ‘naked dress’ trend” and compared its effect to “Marie Antoinette meets Joan of Arc.” Those are the publication’s fashion-editorial descriptions, not a stated inspiration from Berry or Saab.
What “naked dress” means here
In this coverage, “naked dress” is a trend label for the gown’s visibly sheer mesh, not a claim that the entire dress was transparent or that Berry wore no substantial garment. The reporting identifies the mesh and embroidery but does not establish the precise fabric composition, construction, or degree of opacity in every part of the gown.
