Halle Berry wore a custom Christian Siriano gown to the 97th Academy Awards on March 2, 2025. Its shattered-mirror look drew attention on the red carpet; JCK reported that the gown contained 7,000 beads. The “mirrored crystals” wording in the headline captures the effect, but coverage does not establish a technical inventory identifying every component.
Who designed Halle Berry’s 2025 Oscars dress?
Christian Siriano designed the custom gown. The Academy listed Berry among the presenters at the 97th Oscars, held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood on March 2, 2025. JCK reported that Siriano said on E!’s red-carpet preshow: “My entire career I wanted to dress one person at the Oscars, and that’s Halle Berry.”
How many crystals were on the gown?
JCK reported that the shattered-mirror gown contained 7,000 beads. That is the count published by JCK, not an independently documented materials tally. Reports use different terms for the reflective details, so “7,000 mirrored crystals” should not be treated as a verified technical description of the components.
What gave the dress its broken-mirror appearance?
Fashion coverage described a reflective surface set against dark mesh. Marie Claire characterized the look as metal shards and scattered crystals over mesh; JCK called it a shattered-mirror gown and used “beads.” Those descriptions convey the visual effect, but the published accounts do not reconcile the terminology or provide a bill of materials.

How was the look styled?
Marie Claire credited stylist Lindsay Flores. JCK reported that Berry wore Pomellato jewelry, including Catene and Iconica designs: a Catene necklace styled as a bracelet, Catene rings, Iconica earrings, and an Iconica ring. The jewelry accompanied the look, but the custom Siriano gown remained its defining piece.
