Hacks Season 3 premiered on Max on May 2, 2024, with nine episodes and a finale on May 30, 2024. It was already complete when the series was later renewed for a fifth and final season, so “return” here refers to the 2024 season, not a newly released one.

How many episodes Season 3 had
Season 3 consisted of nine episodes, per the same Warner Bros. Discovery announcement. That count is for the 2024 season as released on Max; it does not change the count of any other season.

Guest stars announced for Season 3
Warner Bros. Discovery announced the following guest stars for Season 3:
- Helen Hunt
- Christina Hendricks
- Christopher Lloyd
- Dan Bucatinsky
- George Wallace
- Tony Goldwyn

Max versus HBO Max: which name applies to which date
The platform name changed after Season 3 aired. The 2024 Season 3 release was described as a Max original, while Warner Bros. Discovery’s later announcement about the show’s final season uses the HBO Max name. When you read older coverage, “Max” refers to the platform at the time of the 2024 release; when you read the 2026 material, “HBO Max” is the name used. Neither name should be assumed to describe current subscription terms or regional availability without checking the service directly.
What came after Season 3
The series continued after Season 3. Warner Bros. Discovery’s 2026 announcement describes Season 5 as the show’s final season and gives its HBO Max return date as April 9, 2026. The sources reviewed here do not provide a full account of the seasons between Season 3 and Season 5, so this article does not describe them.
