People en Español identificó a Capetillo como actor y torero de 47 años y a Amezcua como modelo de 30. La publicación dijo que llevaban tres años juntos antes de casarse. Estas edades y la duración de la relación son datos tal como los presentó la nota en 2006, no cifras verificadas por una fuente independiente.
La cobertura describió la ceremonia como íntima y la situó en Mixcoac, México. No indicó el día exacto de la boda ni nombró la iglesia o el templo. People en Español, “Guillermo Capetillo finalmente dio el sí”.
El vestuario y la celebración
Según el relato de People en Español, Capetillo vistió un traje de gala negro con chaleco plateado. El vestido de Amezcua se confeccionó con la tela de un mantón español que había pertenecido a la abuela materna de Capetillo y que su familia había conservado por más de 50 años.

Son detalles de aquella cobertura, no datos confirmados por registros independientes. People en Español, detalles de la boda.
La frase atribuida al sacerdote
La nota recogió una frase de un sacerdote cuyo nombre no publicó: “Debe hacer sido difícil convencerlo”. Se conserva aquí tal como aparece en la fuente, incluida su redacción. El artículo no proporciona una declaración textual de otra persona identificada por nombre y cargo. People en Español, cita atribuida al sacerdote.

¿Se conoce la fecha exacta o el nombre de la iglesia?
Una entrada de Wikipedia atribuye la boda al 11 de febrero de 2006 y la ubica en la iglesia de Santo Domingo, en Mixcoac. Esos datos no aparecen en la nota de People en Español, y la entrada colaborativa no basta para confirmarlos como hechos. La cobertura contemporánea permite afirmar únicamente que la ceremonia tuvo lugar en Mixcoac. Wikipedia, “Guillermo Capetillo”.
