Griefville: Survive the Nightmare! is a horror experience announced for Roblox by Universal Products & Experiences on March 6, 2024. Its launch description set up a day-to-night survival loop and a limited-time mode in which one player could hunt as Chucky while others tried to survive. That announcement does not confirm whether the game or Chucky mode is available now.
What is Griefville?
Griefville: Survive the Nightmare! is an interactive Roblox horror experience inspired by horror films of the 1980s and 1990s. Universal Products & Experiences announced it on March 6, 2024, with development by RocketRide Games. The announced setting is the town of Griefville, where players encounter quests, creepy characters and portals to different game modes. Universal’s announcement framed it as an atmospheric experience as well as one built around scares.
How was the gameplay described?
The launch announcement described a cycle in which players prepare during the day, then enter nighttime modes through nightmare portals. In those modes, they could confront threats or use stealth to try to survive. Universal also said the map would expand and horror-film inspirations would rotate; those were plans announced at launch, not confirmation of later updates.
What role does Chucky play?
At launch, Chucky was announced for a limited-time mode. One player could play as Chucky and hunt the others, who had to survive. His described attacks included regular strikes and a special move that let him jump onto a victim’s back. The announcement’s player-facing phrases included “Play as Chucky” and “Survive the night (or don’t).”

Limited-time describes the mode as announced in March 2024; it does not establish that the mode is still available. The official Roblox page linked by the announcement could not be accessed, so current availability of either the game or its Chucky content is unconfirmed.
What should Roblox players check before looking for Chucky content?
- Check whether a current Roblox listing for Griefville is accessible in your region and account.
- Look for an explicit indication that the Chucky mode is included or currently active; the launch announcement alone cannot confirm that.
- Do not confuse optional Chucky merchandise with a game requirement. Universal’s announcement mentioned consumer products associated with the broader franchise, but did not identify a particular doll or say one is needed to play.
