Greeicy Rendón publicó en Instagram el 16 de octubre de 2025 un video familiar y un mensaje sobre los valores que recibió de su familia. Dijo que le dolía la situación y pidió tiempo y espacio para que se conozca la verdad. Su publicación fue una expresión personal de apoyo familiar, no una explicación de primera mano sobre los hechos investigados.
Qué dijo Greeicy Rendón
En el video aparecen momentos junto a su padre, Luis Alberto Rendón. El texto que lo acompañó habló de la crianza, el trabajo honesto y la justicia hacia otras personas. Greeicy expresó el dolor de que la situación afectara a quienes más ama y dijo que tenía tranquila la conciencia. Una frase de su mensaje, reproducida por Caracol Radio, fue: «Tiempo al tiempo, espacio a la verdad».
El País Cali señaló que Greeicy no se refirió directamente a su padre en el texto, aunque él aparece en el video. Por eso, la publicación debe leerse como una expresión de confianza y respaldo familiar, no como prueba sobre lo ocurrido en la finca ni como una descripción de los hechos.
De qué acusan al padre de Greeicy
Las informaciones periodísticas sitúan los hechos investigados el 8 de mayo de 2023 en una finca de Llanogrande, en Rionegro, Antioquia. Según la Fiscalía y la denuncia recogida en los reportes, dos trabajadores habrían sido retenidos y agredidos después de ser señalados por el supuesto robo de una caja fuerte.

Luis Alberto Rendón fue imputado por delitos relacionados con secuestro y tortura, según las notas de Noticias Caracol y EL PAÍS América Colombia. Rendón no aceptó los cargos y se le permitió cumplir la medida de aseguramiento en su residencia. Una imputación o acusación no equivale a una condena: las afirmaciones sobre su participación siguen sujetas al proceso judicial.

Captura y acusación formal
Las notas publicadas en octubre de 2025 discrepan sobre el día de la captura de Rendón: Caracol Radio indicó el 12 de octubre, mientras que EL PAÍS América Colombia, en una nota del 14 de octubre, la situó el sábado anterior, es decir, el 11. Sin un registro judicial primario que resuelva la diferencia, no es prudente presentar una fecha única como confirmada.

En enero de 2026, El País Cali informó que la Fiscalía había presentado formalmente una acusación contra Rendón. El mismo artículo indicó que las víctimas solicitaron que se evaluara la vinculación de Lucy Ceballos, pero que, al 25 de enero, la Fiscalía no había formulado una acusación contra ella. Esa solicitud no debe confundirse con una imputación.
Inicio del juicio
Caracol Radio informó el 30 de marzo de 2026 que había comenzado el juicio contra Rendón. Según ese reporte, la Fiscalía presentó 33 elementos de prueba: 18 documentales, 11 testimoniales y 4 informes periciales. En audiencia, el fiscal sostuvo que Rendón «actuó dolosamente» porque, según la acusación, sabía que retenían y causaban sufrimiento físico a dos trabajadores. Esa frase recoge la postura del fiscal, no una conclusión judicial sobre la culpabilidad de Rendón.

El proceso separado contra cinco escoltas
Semana informó el 12 de febrero de 2026 que un juez condenó en primera instancia a cinco escoltas a 12 años de prisión por tortura. De acuerdo con esa nota, el juez no tuvo por probado el delito de secuestro en ese juicio y los condenados permanecían en libertad. Es un proceso distinto al de Rendón y su resultado no determina su responsabilidad. La información citada no establece el estado posterior de los recursos contra ese fallo.
