Jelly Roll won the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken. The victory came at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026, where he collected three awards overall.
Beautifully Broken wins Best Contemporary Country Album
The Recording Academy named Jelly Roll’s Beautifully Broken the winner of Best Contemporary Country Album at the 2026 Grammys. This was an album award: Jelly Roll received it specifically for Beautifully Broken, rather than for one individual track.
The Associated Press described the contemporary country album category as inaugural in 2026. The ceremony also introduced a traditional country album category, making the separation between the two country album awards a notable part of the year’s Grammy structure.

Only the first award was for Beautifully Broken; “Amen” and “Hard Fought Hallelujah” were separate collaborative Grammy wins.
When and how the awards were decided
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards took place on February 1, 2026. Grammy winners are selected by Recording Academy voting members, including music creators such as artists, producers, songwriters and engineers. The three-win total is therefore a count of that night’s award results, not an audience or sales statistic.

Jelly Roll’s acceptance message
During his acceptance speech, Jelly Roll said, “I believe music had the power to change my life,” according to Associated Press coverage. The remark fits the personal and transformative theme often associated with his public musical story, while the Grammy result itself rests on the Academy’s category vote.

Jelly Roll’s win gives Beautifully Broken the distinction of being the inaugural winner of Best Contemporary Country Album. Because the Academy also added a traditional country album category that year, the result should not be described as winning a generic or single country-album Grammy: its official category was Best Contemporary Country Album.
