The Goo Goo Dolls canceled the remaining dates of their 2026 Canadian tour after singer John Rzeznik was diagnosed with pneumonia and had not fully recovered. The band said tickets would be refunded at the point of purchase. Available reporting does not establish that the canceled concerts were postponed or rescheduled.
Were the Goo Goo Dolls shows canceled or postponed?
They were reported as canceled, not postponed. TVA Nouvelles reported on April 6, 2026, that the band had announced the decision the previous Sunday, citing Rzeznik’s pneumonia diagnosis and saying he was not fully recovered. The band’s reported statement said, “We’re very disappointed by this decision as we hoped to finish the rest of our Canadian run,” and added, “Once again, I appreciate everyone’s understanding and can’t wait to get back to Canada as soon as we can.” Exclaim! attributed those words to Rzeznik.
