Nist’s dress and the reception
ABC described Nist’s gown as a white, mermaid-style Badgley Mischka design. The Knot characterized it as an off-the-shoulder, fit-and-flare beaded dress.

Why did Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist divorce?
They announced their decision on Good Morning America on April 12, 2024. Turner said they had talked at length and looked closely at their living situation before mutually deciding to end the marriage. Nist said they had explored homes in South Carolina and considered New Jersey but had not made a decision. They also pointed to the importance of their families.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and — and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to — dissolve our marriage.”
