Gerry Turner’s meteorite-and-gold band
Neil Lane Couture described Turner’s ring as a handcrafted band made from meteorite and gold. The jeweler said it specially designed the piece for the wedding; it did not publish a price, ring size, or retail listing for the custom band. Neil Lane Couture’s January 4, 2024 announcement is the source for the materials and design description.
Theresa Nist’s platinum diamond eternity band
Nist’s band was platinum, set with 18 round brilliant-cut diamonds. Neil Lane Couture said the stones totaled more than four carats; it did not give a more exact total. The ring was described as an eternity band, a style in which stones are set around the band.
Who supplied the rings, and when were they worn?
Neil Lane Couture said it provided the wedding bands, and ABC’s ceremony recap reported that Lane helped Turner choose them. The couple married at La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs on Thursday, January 4, 2024, in front of family and friends. ABC aired the ceremony as the live special The Golden Wedding. Before the wedding, the couple told ABC they wanted the televised event to feel like an intimate family gathering. Nist said, “We’re going to try to pretend we don’t know the cameras are there and make it the intimate, really warm family moment that we want it to be.” Turner said having their families there would make it feel intimate to them. On April 12, 2024, Turner and Nist announced on Good Morning America that they had mutually decided to divorce. Turner said they had talked at length and considered their living situation before reaching the decision. They are former spouses, not a currently married couple.
