News coverage rounded the attempt to 164 hours and described it as a no-sleep streaming record claim—but the available reporting does not establish that Guinness World Records certified it.
Who is GiftedPrime?
GiftedPrime, also known as PrimeTime, is the streamer behind the September 2023 endurance attempt. Contemporary reports identify him as Anthony Valentin. The event was streamed on Kick, and coverage of it appeared on September 8 and 9, 2023. Dexerto and Insider Gaming reported on the attempt.
Did GiftedPrime really stay awake for 164 hours?
The figures need a distinction: 164 hours was the rounded duration used in headlines, while GiftedPrime’s own quoted post gave a more precise figure of 161 hours and 37 minutes. Dexerto quoted him writing, “Just broke @ThisFudginGuy Twitch no sleep record! 161 hours 37 minutes live streaming continuously without sleeping!”
That is the streamer’s self-reported figure, not an independently documented measurement in the cited coverage. A continuous livestream duration and a verified period without sleep are also different claims; coverage of the stream does not by itself establish how sleep was monitored.

Was the attempt an official world record?
The reports describe GiftedPrime as claiming a community or streaming record, but they do not establish Guinness certification for a no-sleep livestream category. The careful description is therefore a reported record claim, not a confirmed Guinness world record.
Dexerto described a prior benchmark of 162 hours attributed to streamer ThisFudginGuy. It also reported that ThisFudginGuy said Guinness had not validated his attempt because he would have had to pay for a review of the footage. That is the claimant’s explanation as reported by Dexerto, not a statement from Guinness.

What Guinness’s livestream listing does—and does not—show
Guinness World Records lists Planeta Alofoke’s 1,272-hour achievement in the separate category “longest live-stream (video),” with the attempt achieved in June 2026. That category concerns total livestream duration; it does not establish the longest stream without sleep or verify GiftedPrime’s claim. Guinness also notes that records change daily and are not published online immediately. See Guinness World Records’ listing.
The public listing does not identify GiftedPrime as a certified holder for a no-sleep category, and the reporting cited here does not establish who currently holds that specific category. That absence is not proof that no separate claim or record exists.

Why the wording matters
- “164 hours” is the rounded headline figure; GiftedPrime’s quoted post said 161 hours and 37 minutes.
- “Streamed continuously” describes the reported broadcast, while “without sleeping” is a separate claim about the streamer’s wakefulness.
- “Record” should be qualified as a reported claim unless an applicable record authority’s certification is established.
Trying to stay awake for several days is a dangerous stunt. The available reporting identifies no particular equipment or consumer product as part of the attempt, so it provides no basis for recommending one.
