The official pages do not confirm that every image is available in 4K, 2K, FHD and HD, so check the pixel dimensions of the specific file before downloading. Match those dimensions and the image’s shape to the screen you plan to use.
Where to download official Ghost of Tsushima wallpapers
PlayStation’s official wallpaper page includes a Ghost of Tsushima section and describes its wallpapers as free. PlayStation says to click a wallpaper to download it.
For video calls, PlayStation.Blog’s “Liven up your video calls with these PlayStation-themed backgrounds”, published August 31, 2020, includes Ghost of Tsushima artwork. That page’s download flow is to open an image to load its high-resolution version, then save it. The available artwork and download steps differ between the two sources.
How to choose an image for 4K, 2K, FHD or HD screens
These labels describe broad resolution categories, not a guarantee that an official Ghost of Tsushima download is offered in each one. Check the actual image dimensions shown by the file or download page. A higher pixel count does not necessarily mean a better fit: aspect ratio and orientation determine whether the image fills the screen, leaves empty space, or gets cropped.

- Check dimensions: Compare the file’s width and height in pixels with the screen’s resolution. An image with fewer pixels may look soft when enlarged; one with more pixels can be scaled down.
- Check shape and orientation: Compare the image’s width-to-height proportions with the display. A landscape desktop image may need substantial cropping on a vertical phone screen.
- Check where the artwork sits: For a desktop, consider whether icons will obscure the subject. For a video call, leave a clear area where the person will appear.
- Check intended use: Use the PlayStation Blog’s video-call background image flow for a service that supports custom backgrounds. The official download pages do not establish that every image is licensed or formatted for every possible use.
Set a custom wallpaper on PS4
PlayStation’s PS4 custom wallpaper instructions describe using a USB storage device. The page recommends 1920 x 1080 for PS4 and gives 3860 x 2160 for PS4 Pro. The PS4 Pro width is unusual; verify the live PlayStation page before relying on that figure for a particular display.
- Copy the image file to a USB stick.
- Create a folder named
IMAGESin the USB drive’s main directory and put the wallpaper in that folder. - Connect the USB drive to the PS4.
- On the console, go to Settings > Themes > Select Theme > Custom.
- Choose the USB storage device, select the image, and apply it.
Use a PlayStation background for video calls
Open the desired image in PlayStation.Blog’s backgrounds post to load its high-resolution version, save it, then upload it through the video-call service’s custom-background option. The service must support custom backgrounds; its own interface determines the exact upload steps.
