Joan Vassos accepted Chock Chapple’s proposal with a custom Neil Lane Couture ring: an Art Deco–influenced handmade platinum design featuring an emerald-cut center diamond, two tapered baguettes and 56 round brilliant diamonds.
What Joan Vassos’s engagement ring looks like
The ring has a rectangular emerald-cut diamond at its center. On either side are two tapered diamond baguettes, creating a geometric frame around the main stone. Smaller round brilliant-cut diamonds continue around the band, giving the design additional sparkle without changing its clean, architectural outline.
Neil Lane made the ring by hand in platinum. The design draws on the 1920s Art Deco movement, with balanced lines and a deliberately harmonious arrangement. Lane said the ring should be “very classy, just like her,” and described Joan’s sophistication, elegance and integrity as influences on the design.

Who designed Joan’s ring?
Neil Lane designed the ring as a custom Neil Lane Couture piece. The designer discussed meeting Joan and choosing a substantial center stone before creating a classic setting tailored to her style. It was not presented as an off-the-shelf model or a standard retail design.
When did Chock Chapple propose?
Chock proposed to Joan during the first-season finale of The Golden Bachelorette, filmed in Tahiti and broadcast in November 2024. Joan accepted, making the ring part of the couple’s televised engagement story.

What is known about the ring’s price?
No reliable public source establishes the price of Joan’s original custom ring. Because it was handmade for her and includes a four-carat total diamond weight in platinum, a price inferred from a visually similar online listing would not be a verified valuation.
