Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson on Gen V, died at 27 following a motorcycle crash, his publicist said in a statement reported by the Associated Press. The joint cast message
A statement shared by members of the Gen V cast said: “Our hearts are with Chance’s loved ones as we grieve this shocking loss.” It recalled his smile, warm hugs and authenticity, and concluded: “Rest in peace dear friend, you will be deeply missed. What was known about the crash
The Associated Press reported on March 30, 2024, that Perdomo died following a motorcycle crash. His publicist said no one else was involved. How Gen V addressed Perdomo’s death
The show’s later response was separate from the immediate tributes of March and April 2024. In June 2024, executive producer Eric Kripke said the series would not recast Andre and would portray the character’s death while seeking to honor Perdomo. “We’re not trying to replace him because we can’t,” Kripke said. “We’re playing the character’s death on the show. When Gen V season 2 premiered in 2025, its first episode opened with an in memoriam card and established Andre’s death within the series. That fictional story development was the show’s later acknowledgment, not a description of Perdomo’s real-life crash. TechRadar
