Which characters do they play?
The announcement-era reports did not identify the seven performers’ characters. Gizmodo suggested they might be students, university staff or Vought crew, but those were possibilities, not confirmed roles. No character assignments for these seven appear in the later official Season 2 material cited here.

Official cast information does name other Season 2 additions: Hamish Linklater plays Dean Cipher, and Ethan Slater plays Thomas Godolkin. Those announcements do not establish which, if any, characters King, Knope, Fletcher, Kalyn, McGunnigle, Dorion or Murphy portray. Amazon’s Season 2 guide lists the named roles.
How the seven additions fit into Season 2
Gen V is set at Godolkin University, a college where young Supes train to become heroes. In Amazon’s Season 2 synopsis, returning students face a new dean, rising conflict between humans and Supes, and a secret program tied to the university’s founding. That is the season’s broad context; it does not reveal the seven performers’ parts in the story. Sony Pictures’ series page describes the premise.

The casting news also followed the death of Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson in Season 1. TheWrap reported that he died in a motorcycle accident in March 2024 and quoted the producers saying his role would not be recast and the Season 2 storylines were being revised. The statement was attributed to the Gen V producers, not to a named individual.
