Speaking to the judge during the virtual hearing, Busey said, “It was not an accidental touching,” as reported by The Guardian and The Philadelphia Inquirer. The statement was part of the hearing in which he entered the guilty plea.
What happened to the other counts?
The plea agreement dismissed the other counts in the case, AP reported. The guilty plea therefore resolved one count of criminal sexual contact; it should not be treated as an admission to every allegation reported in connection with the convention. Other reported accusations remain allegations unless separately resolved in court.

In contemporaneous coverage, organizers said an unnamed celebrity guest had been removed from the convention and told not to return, and that affected attendees were encouraged to contact police. The organizers’ statement did not name Busey, so it does not independently identify him as the guest. NBC Philadelphia.
