Gary Busey was sentenced to two years of probation on September 18, 2025, after pleading guilty to one count of criminal sexual contact stemming from a 2022 convention photo opportunity in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The plea resolved the case; it does not mean he was convicted of every charge or allegation initially reported.
What happened at the convention
The case arose from an August 2022 photo opportunity at the Monster-Mania horror convention in Cherry Hill. The Associated Press reported that Busey admitted touching a woman’s buttocks over her clothing during an 8–10-second photo opportunity. Associated Press coverage

How the charges changed
Busey was initially charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact, and one count of harassment. The Associated Press reported that at least three women had accused him of inappropriate touching at the convention.
