The October 15, 2023 Prime Minister’s Office post
On October 15, 2023, the Prime Minister’s Office posted Modi’s message: “As the auspicious Navratri dawns upon us, I am delighted to share a Garba penned by me during the past week. Let the festive rhythms embrace everyone!” The post credits MeetBros and Divya Kumar with voice and music. It describes a different, newly written Garba, not “Garbo.”

The October 15, 2023 Press Information Bureau release
The same day, the Press Information Bureau reproduced a separate post in which Modi thanked Dhvani Bhanushali, Tanishk Bagchi and the team of Jjust Music “for this lovely rendition of a Garba I had penned years ago! It does bring back many memories.” Modi then said he had written a new one. The statement concerns that rendition of an older Garba. It does not establish that these artists performed “Garbo,” even though Bhanushali and Bagchi are the same people named in the “Garbo” reporting.
“Aavati Kalaya Madi Vaaya Kalaya” (2024)
The October 7, 2024 announcement covers a third song. Modi said he wrote it as a tribute to Goddess Durga, and Purva Mantri sang it. It was released a year after “Garbo” and carries no link to that song’s credits.
Why the releases get mixed up
The three songs share a festival window, a prime minister as lyricist or author, and in one case the same singer and composer. Readers searching by artist name will find them clustered together. Matching the song title to the exact credit list is the only reliable way to separate them.
