Michelle Tanner’s best Full House episodes turn a little girl’s everyday concerns into the show’s most memorable comedy, family warmth, and heartbreak. This is an editorial top ten, not an official or Michelle-specific fan consensus. The selections weigh Michelle’s importance to each story, character and relationship moments, emotional or comic payoff, and variety across the series’ eight seasons. Episodes are listed with season and episode numbers; two stories span both parts, and one includes a significant bereavement.
1. “Michelle Rides Again, Part 2” (Season 8, Episode 24)
The second half of Full House’s two-part finale gives Michelle the story’s central emotional stakes: after a fall from a horse, she has amnesia, and her family tries to help her recover her memories. The Disney+ episode guide summarizes the premise directly: “Michelle suffers from amnesia after a fall from a horse.” The finale also brings the family’s long-running relationships to a close, making Michelle’s struggle part of a larger farewell rather than an isolated crisis.

There is one modest popularity signal: Episode Ninja’s overall Full House ranking listed this episode first, at 8.52 from 170 votes on its June 19, 2026 update. That is a snapshot of votes for the series as a whole, not a poll about Michelle or a definitive verdict.
2. “Matchmaker Michelle” (Season 5, Episode 2)
Michelle wants a new mother and decides to arrange a date between Danny and her kindergarten teacher. The premise is funny because it treats a child’s earnest solution to a complicated adult problem as perfectly reasonable. It is also one of the clearest Michelle stories about family: her matchmaking scheme grows out of wanting something she feels is missing.

3. “The House Meets the Mouse, Part 1” (Season 6, Episode 23)
The Tanner family’s Disney World trip gives Michelle a larger-than-life moment when Aladdin makes her “Princess of the Day.” The spectacle suits the character’s imagination, but the episode is more than a theme-park detour: Michelle has a distinct place in the family adventure. Watch it with Part 2 for the complete story.
4. “The House Meets the Mouse, Part 2” (Season 6, Episode 24)
The second part shifts from the princess fantasy to a family search when Michelle goes missing in the park. That change gives the two-parter a useful emotional arc: a special day becomes a genuinely worrying situation, and the family’s reunion supplies the payoff. Its stakes depend on the setup in Part 1, so it works best as a paired watch.

5. “The Last Dance” (Season 7, Episode 17)
Michelle bonds with Papouli, Jesse’s visiting grandfather, in an episode that lets her affection for an older relative take center stage. The story also deals with Papouli’s death, giving it a much sadder finish than a typical Michelle comedy. It is a strong choice for viewers looking for a more serious family episode, though its grief content may matter when choosing something to watch with younger children.
6. “The Long Goodbye” (Season 6, Episode 2)
When Michelle learns that her friend Teddy is moving away, she tries to make him stay. The small, child-sized logic of the plan captures how permanent a goodbye can feel to a young friend. The episode earns its place through tenderness rather than a big event: Michelle’s friendship is the point of the story.

7. “Michelle A La Carte” (Season 7, Episode 20)
Michelle and Rebecca build a racecar while Joey takes ballet lessons from Stephanie. The parallel plots give the episode a playful way to challenge assumptions about what activities are “for” girls or boys, without losing the light comedy. It also stands out among Michelle’s later-season stories for its distinctive premise.
8. “Wrong-Way Tanner” (Season 7, Episode 3)
Michelle scores for the wrong team, and Stephanie answers by showing her an embarrassing family video. The mix-up gives the episode its comic engine, while the sisters’ response makes the relationship as important as the mistake itself. It is a good pick for Michelle at her most mischievous, with a sibling dynamic driving the laughs.

After a classmate insults Teddy for being Michelle’s friend, Michelle and Jesse talk about differences between boys and girls, and Michelle imitates Jesse. The friendship conflict gives the episode a clear emotional center; the conversation and imitation add the comedy. It also shows how Michelle’s world is expanding beyond her household into school friendships and questions about expectations.
10. “Michelle Rides Again, Part 1” (Season 8, Episode 23)
The first half begins the two-part finale story, including Michelle’s horse-riding plot, while also following D.J.’s prom, Stephanie’s school play, and Jesse and Joey’s possible television show. The episode sets up the fall that leads to Michelle’s amnesia in Part 2, so it is best watched immediately before the finale’s second half. As a first chapter, it balances the show’s ensemble goodbye with the story that will bring Michelle’s arc to its conclusion.
More Michelle-centered episodes to try
If you want to keep going beyond this top ten, the Disney+ episode guide also lists “Easy Rider,” where Michelle learns to ride a bicycle with Joey; “Sisters in Crime,” in which Michelle and Stephanie sneak out to a movie with D.J.; “The Day of the Rhino,” about a misleading television advertisement and Michelle’s protest; and “The Bicycle Thief,” centered on her stolen pink bicycle. These offer more early- and middle-series stories in which a child’s small problem becomes a full family plot.
