That was the Japan broadcast date, not a universal release time; Crunchyroll separately announced a 7:00 a.m. premiere on its service that day.
When did Frieren Season 2 come back?
Season 2 began broadcasting in Japan on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11 p.m. on Nippon Television’s nationwide 30-network service, according to the official anime website. Since that date has passed, the premiere is a past event rather than an upcoming release.
The Japanese TV schedule and a streaming service’s premiere announcement refer to different platforms and should not be treated as one worldwide release time.
What time did it premiere on Crunchyroll?
Crunchyroll announced that Season 2 would premiere on its service on January 16, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. The announcement gives a service premiere time, separate from the 11 p.m. Japanese NTV broadcast schedule; it does not establish current catalog availability in every country. See Crunchyroll’s announcement for its original details.
