Studio Tour Hollywood in Burbank. The apartment building is a private residence, while the studio tour is a paid attraction whose route and access can vary. Neither is a reliable place to meet or spot cast members.
Which Friends locations can fans visit?
The evidence supports two visitor options, not 20 distinct, confirmed destinations. One is a brief look at a real building exterior in New York; the other is a ticketed studio tour with recreated Friends sets and a fountain associated with the show. Fictional settings and generic New York landmarks do not become Friends attractions simply because they appear in, or are mentioned by, the series.

New York: see the exterior at 90 Bedford Street
The apartment building’s exterior is at the corner of Bedford and Grove Streets in Manhattan’s West Village. New York City Tourism + Conventions identifies it as the real building associated with the friends’ apartment, while noting that Friends was primarily filmed in a studio. A recent location guide gives the address as 90 Bedford Street.
What to expect at the building
- You can look at and photograph the exterior from the public pavement.
- You cannot visit Monica and Rachel’s fictional apartment inside: the building is a private residence, and the show’s apartment interiors were sets.
- The ground-floor business is The Little Owl, a real restaurant—not Central Perk. If you want to eat there, check The Little Owl’s own site for current details.
Central Perk was fictional, so there is no original New York café at this address to enter. Treat the stop as an exterior visit, not an apartment tour or a chance to recreate a café scene indoors.
Burbank: visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is the strongest supported option for seeing Friends-themed interiors. Warner Bros. describes a working replica of Central Perk, recreated apartment sets at Stage 48, and a Friends Boutique on the Friends tour page. These are visitor recreations; the listing does not promise entry to the original apartment set on Stage 24 or access to its original soundstage on a standard tour.
The Friends Fountain
The tour also features the Friends Fountain in Burbank. Warner Bros. says the fountain was moved from its original location at the Warner Bros. Ranch and preserved on the tour. Its official fountain page warns that access may change with production needs. It is not the fountain in a New York park: a recent Experience NYC guide identifies the opening-credits fountain as being on the Warner Bros. lot and distinguishes it from Cherry Hill Fountain in Central Park.

Plan around a working studio
Warner Bros. says tours vary with studio activity: “No two tours are alike; a Studio Tour experience is unique every day of the week.” Check the official Studio Tour information close to your visit for current booking details and to confirm what is available. The reviewed information does not establish current ticket prices or a fixed route, so do not assume that a particular stop will be accessible on a specific date.

There is no established regular public cast appearance or reliable sighting opportunity at either location. Warner Bros. notes that the cast shot at the Friends Fountain twice; that is production history, not evidence of present-day appearances. Visit for the locations and sets, not in expectation of encountering an actor.
