It was Lamb’s personal comparison, not an objective measure of Kirk’s legacy.
What Matt Lamb said about Charlie Kirk’s legacy
In an interview with PEOPLE published September 10, 2025, Lamb said he hoped Turning Point USA would continue, but believed Kirk’s family represented a more important legacy. “I hope that his organization lives on,” Lamb said. He added: “But, I mean, certainly he has a more important legacy than Turning Point in his wife and his two kids. His legacy will live on through that.”
Lamb described Kirk as “a gifted political activist” and said, “He loved his wife and loved his kids. You could just tell about the way he talked about them.” Those remarks express Lamb’s view of Kirk’s priorities and legacy; the report does not establish that one aspect of Kirk’s life matters more than another.
Who is Matt Lamb, and how did he know Kirk?

The interview followed Kirk’s fatal shooting while he was speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025. Lamb’s comments juxtaposed Kirk’s organization with his family: he hoped Turning Point USA would carry on, while saying that, in his view, Kirk’s wife and children were the more important part of his legacy.
